Lost City of Z didn't do much for me, Ad Astra I need to rewatch now that I'm in a space mood as of late, but I watched Two Lovers last night and holy shit was it incredible.

I guess I need grounded stories from him lol

 

Lost City of Z fucking rules. Ad Astra is kind of goofy but still liked it

 

Ad Astra is incredible imo

 

sheesh this looks as good as i had hoped

 

The tone felt super off in the first half and caught me off guard, was glad to see it get serious lol


Accents seem a little over the place though.

 

Looks great. Wasn’t a fan of ad astra.

Seeing this today, just saw the interesting original castings in the OP. Sounds like a completely different film

 

This was ok, mediocre screenplay elevated by James Gray being an amazing director

 

isn't the screenplay essentially based on his childhood lol?

 

hmm. yeah, this didn't totally work for me. felt like all story, no plot. great performances. kinda see what @devenstonow meant now lol.
