Single is real nice too. Just different enough to not retread, but not such a change that it loses her personality. That bridge is so fucking dope

Not crazy about this song. Collapsed in Sunbeams has some real strong tracks, so I still have high hopes for the rest of the album.

 

Almost missed this on a stacked release day.

She always delivers, and this is no different.

 

Weightless is really great, but something about Impurities feels weird to me, like maybe mixed oddly, or slightly off beat... I dunno, not really doin it for me

This album is really good, I think it's lightyears ahead of the last album which I just never was able to connect with fully

 

I dug Weightless enough but none of the other singles really did much for me. Still gonna go in optimistically but no longer expecting a knockout

 

Yeah that was the appropriate mindset going in - I liked this! Didn’t realize there were so many singles, I for sure missed a couple. Weightless set a good expectation of what this would largely sound like. The tracks that jump out to me most after a couple listens are the few that basically feel like Collapsed In Sunbeams b-sides lol. But after a couple of runs there’s nothing I actively dislike, barring of the back half of Devotion. Album will otherwise be a staple this summer I’m sure. I continue to love the use and tone of her live drums

 

This has grown on me a lot! I still don’t feel as wow’ed by it as the debut, and Devotion still bugs me, but it’s a really easy record to reach for and let repeat

 

I’m into it. I actually like “Devotion”. I’d say “Impurities” is the lowlight for me but even that’s grown on me. Looking forward to spending more time with it. It is funny how frontloaded the album is with singles.
