I was stupidly amused by this mashup. Well not stupidly, my love of Lisa Kudrow is pretty smart and logical!

 

It’s a little complicated given that Ariana has increasingly started mixing genres, but I guess this album definitely leans a little more towards R&B than some of her others. I would listen to Rihanna’s Anti and last year’s Mariah Carey album.

 

Her collaborator, Victoria Monet, has released a few EPs recently.

 

Yeah that Mariah album flew under the radar but was excellent. @Yellowcard2006 on the Charli side of the spectrum I would recommend Kim Petras, Allie X, and Slayyyter.

 

Needy is unlistenable because of that one sound. I'm sorry. I was about to throw my speakers at the wall.

Thank U Next is my favourite song on this.

 

That Mariah album was one of the best albums of 2018

I've listened to this album a lot now and can't figure out what "that sound" is in Needy

 

Also, listening through this again on a long drive last night, didn't get past "ghostin", as my fiancee kept hitting repeat 4x in a row on it haha. What a phenomenal song.

 

It’s the “shrill” loop in the background. I’m very sensitive to stuff like that though.
