eternal sunshine (the song) does something to me that I can't quite explain

 

Rolled this after a few weeks and it’s aging incredibly well. A reasonable run-time *COUGH*, tightly edited/sequenced, and plenty of variety while still having a pretty well defined sound. Super glad she teamed back up with Martin again, they popped off on this one.

 

I like this!

 

Yea this is firmly in the running for best AG album. Wish it was a little longer myself but it’s by far her most consistent. And a rare album where I actually enjoy the interlude(s).

Been spending a lot of time with this lately. I’d be curious to know if (presumably) working on this at the same time as shooting Wicked had any influence on her vocal deliveries. I like thank u, next and Positions plenty but it’s just so nice to hear her really singing again.

On a totally different note, I’d love to hear what came of her linking up with Babyface again if that we’re ever in the cards.

it's weird when Ariana Grande is the easiest singer to understand on a track

 

Yeah, Brandy and Monica’s voices are buried on there. Also, just not a very good choice of song for their range.
