it was fine, that hook could be bigger. this made people cry at a listening party? that had to have been for the whole album right?
That was a truly strange video. Not sold on the song, but I like the way she sounds on the more "spoken" part of the chorus.
You’re underestimating how much these artists mean to their fans. It’s not hard to see why stans would cry when their favorite drops a new track.
Honestly I'd probably cry if put in the right state of mind, and a group setting for a specific situation like this could do it But it hyped me up too much and this was just ok. Did like it not being a ballad. Do like the general production vibe as a style for the next album. That hook just feels like a pre-chorus tho and the real chorus never kicks in.
I'm trying to figure out if this sounds like a specific song, Brandy maybe, or just vague Max Martin 90s throwback
Fair points. I guess I also let that description hype me up too much, but it's still a solid track. Not amazing, but it's an earworm.
I get like late 90s/early 2000s vibes from the song, which I'm lovin btw, and the video is doing the same too
Stan first impressions are wrong 100% of the time and can never be trusted. They think everything is super deep and God's gift to music. I try to avoid all hype before I listen to something now lol
It’s good but not Dangerous Woman quality on first listen. Definitely has potential to grow on me. I like how bizarre the video is.
