Are there any Steelbook Collectors here!

Hi all, my first post here. I was wondering if anyone here collects Steelbooks. I have been collecting for 5 years now. I started off with DVDs then Blu-rays then I got caught up collecting Steelbooks for my favourite movies. I have bought doubles for my favourites but try not to do that too much as it’s too expensive! Lol. For anyone not familiar there is a website called Steelbook.com where you can see images and info on the various Steelbooks. You can see the new Kingsman film one here.

No it was just a question! I know there are a lot of movie collectors, I just wondered how many Steelbook Collectors were out there.:)

 

Yeah everyone has different tastes. I’m a sucker for special packaging but I know it’s not everyone’s thing!:)

No I’m not. There are a few forums that cater to Steelbook Collectors but not many. I wondered if anybody here was a fan of them. It doesn’t sound like there are too many people here who collect them. I know a lot of people don’t know about them. They are only really available online and not in store so they don’t get very much exposure. I’m not sure why you think I’m a spammer, it was just a genuine question.:)

 

All my books are paperback. Steel sounds expensive and heavy.

 

Haha, I was talking about Movie Steelbooks! Handing said that though they are making Steelbooks for CD cases now so who knows what they will make in the future! I don’t just buy Steelbooks, I buy movies in normal cases aswell. I know collecting isn’t as popular these days with streaming but I will always like physical media over streaming.:)

I don't know what those are, but you should get the movie Dirty Work. It came out in the late 90s and stars Norm MacDonald.

 

I still collect, I know a lot of people prefer streaming now but I always prefer physical media and having something in hand!:)

 

I haven’t seen that before. I don’t think I’ve even heard of it before which is strange as I’ve just seen Chevy Chase is in it. I thought I knew most of the films he was in! I like most comedies so I will give it a try.:)

 

If you're a streamer, it's on Hulu and Amazon of you have a subscription.

 

I have Amazon Prime. I’m not sure if it’s on in the UK though. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!:)
