Are Croutons a Snack?

I mean, it's not like I eat them all the time, but they're delicious and fun to snack on every once and again. I'm sick of feeling like a social outcast because of this

They're my favorite part of salads. I'd have no problem eating them straight.

Put the croutons on their pizza? I can't really say no.

But to answer the initial question. I've ate them as a snack and love them in my salad.

croutons on pizza would be a no for me just cuz it'd throw off the texture. but ya they can be a snack. most things can be, really.

 

I like croutons but I don't think they're substantial enough by themselves even as a snack.

 

I devour them. I actually don't even like them on salads. I don't like random hidden crunchy things.

Homemade ones are absolutely a snack. Not a big fan of store bought processed ones, though.

 

We buy croutons for our salads all the time.....but we end up just snacking on them before.

 

I think they're fine as a snack or on a salad. They are always in my salads, however, the chance that they become snacks increases exponentially with the consumption of alcohol.

 

I have no use for them in any context. I'm probably a monster.

Do any of you have a Wegmans near you? They have such a great selection of Croutons, I've been buying a new one every week.

I once had a chicken Caesar salad Pizza, and it had croutons on top. Was excellent.

 

But seriously, I just want vegetables and meat in my salads. Who needs little pieces of hard bread messing up the flow?

 

mini garlic breads can mess up my flow any day
