I remember when Humbug was released and thinking it was their untitled(blink). Such a cool fucking record

 

Humbug is awesome. I don't think they have any weak records and now that I've listened to them more I really think their 5-album run is up there with any band. I personally prefer their later albums but I wouldn't call you crazy for having any of their albums at #1.

I love Suck It and See. It's a fantastic summer record. The last 6 songs are my favorite stretch on any AM album.

Honestly can’t believe the label is allowing no pre-release single for an album this big/anticipated. I’m really excited, but I also know a lot of casual fans who don’t really know it’s coming out tbh

Yeah that’s probably true. Especially with how long its been. Don’t get me wrong I think it’s dope they’re rolling it out this way, just surprised.

 

I’m insanely curious as to how this record will sound. I also realized I have yet to preorder it- gotta jump on that.

 

Still waiting to order the vinyl. I've only been a casual fan since they started, but loved AM and SIAS. After reading that article, I think I'm going to enjoy this one just the same.

For me at least, the lack of a single is working haha... my hype and curiosity for this album is higher than ever.

 

They released some extra US dates.

 

“Stuck on the Puzzle” has been my top Alex Turner song for some time. If any of these tunes are like that, or a moodier version of that, I’m betting this will be my favorite AM release.

 

Never listened to that one tbh... it’s from his movie soundtrack he did, right?

 

It's a six song EP. Definitely worth checking out, some of his best writing.

Good call in my opinion. The “less is more” approach stands out amongst other album rollouts and helps to avoid overplaying one song and hearing something out of context.

First show of the new tour is tomorrow night in San Diego, so there will almost certainly be footage of new songs afterwards. I’m thinking I’ll probably avoid it tbh, might as well wait another week to hear them properly for the first time.
