Sooo incredibly hyped for this. Only a month away as well, wow.

 

I'd count on them debuting new material live. Wouldn't be the first time!

Kinda surprised there's only two preorder options. I was hoping for one with a tshirt at the very least.

 

Wonder if/when we’re getting a single from this. I’m really excited but also super curious about the direction it’ll take.

 

Certain sources are saying no singles before the album is released...

Cool that the UK gets Lemon Twigs as support. They still haven't announced any support for the US that I've seen

 

I’m fully on board with this approach.

 

I haven't been super into an Artic Monkeys album for awhile. This one has piqued my interest, for sure.

 

Hmm, this lowered my expectations back down slightly for whatever reason.

 

weird lol. there's nothing much in there to go off of one way or another, unless you oddly loathe concept records lol

 

Ahhh, from the presentation, name of the record, track names, and how slightly tight-lipped they're being... I was expecting maybe something a little different perhaps? I'm not sure.

But hearing someone basically say, "Eh, it's pretty much another Arctic Monkeys record.......the vibe is just rock n roll", kind of took some of the wind of out my sails. The concept part is neat though.

"Whatever people say i am that's what i'm not" is still a classic imo....so I'll at least check this out.

 

speaking of the debut, i just got the vinyl me please reissue of it. so cool, sounds great too

 

I wonder what “sounds like Arctic Monkeys” means. AM sounds different than Humbug sounds different than WPSIA etc

 

All I know is that I hope it’s not a continuation of AM. I really enjoy that record but I prefer when they get a little weird.

 

apparently it's a concept album about a made up hotel and casino on the moon. lots of guests on it too - several mini mansions guys, the touring bassist for tame impala, one of the guys from the klaxons
