This is such a weird album cycle for them. Release a new video for one of the weirder songs on the album on the same day they play Colbert, but instead of playing that new single, they play the album closer and have their extremely recognizable lead singer completely change his appearance.
I agree. Aside from AM (album), I don't think Arctic Monkeys could ever be labelled as predictable - one of the reasons I love them so
So of course there hasn't been a drop of rain yet in New York, but rainfall is expected to start at 8pm. Set times are also out, and Arctic Monkeys hit the stage at.....8pm. Still incredibly pumped! I've been good at completely avoiding videos and setlists for this tour, can't remember the last time I went into a show completely blind like that.
Yo the show tonight was awesome......to honor New York City they covered The Strokes' Is This It! Ughh that was so fucking cool.
Super super dope set and Alex was so whimsical, great stage presence even with his botched head The Is This It cover was so cool. Although it was funny that probably a good 70-80% of the people on my side ( and maybe in general at the show) were like, AM fans so they kept screaming "R U MINEEEEEEE" over and over and went specifically crazy for the AM songs. And were like infants and/or not born for Is This It or Whatever People/Favourite Worst Nightmare haha
Yeah the crowd around me on the floor was sooo damn young. When the open high hat beat started I was screaming "holy shitttt Is This It!!!!" and everyone around me seemed clueless. I was definitely the only one singing along in my area.
