They hit it off with their debut, dropped off and then AM brought them back up again. Interesting to see if they keep it going with their new album
I didn’t realize that even their debut album got that big in the US. But I guess I wasn’t following alt rovk much at the time. I always thought AM was them really “breaking” the States for the first time.
Hoping they announce more shows later this year, as I imagine the LA date wont be their only so cal (or even LA) show this year. I might hit up a few dates since I’m so excited
Woah people got emails for the presale?! I didn't get anything! Can someone pretty please share the password for tomorrow?
Just recently getting into these guys. Always loved the AM singles when the album came out. Always meant to check out their backlog. Over the last four months I’ve been listening to the first two albums a good deal. It’s crazy how much more I like FWN than the debut. Not that the debut is bad, but it’s pretty obvious they had a big change in maturity/lyrics/musicianship imo. Love the lyrics on 505 esp
Suck it and See is a really underrated album IMO. Maybe it's because the two singles "Brick by Brick" and "Don't Sit Down..." are kinda silly. But the second half of the album is just incredible. "Love is a Laserquest" is one of the best heartbreak songs I've ever heard. "When I'm pipe and slippers and rocking chair, singing dreadful songs about summer, Will I have found a better method of pretending you were just some lover?"
Listened to Suck It and See on a road trip today. It’s been my go to record from them for a while now and I’ve always thought it’s underrated. Like Eagles said, the singles are weak and I skip Don’t Sit Down when it comes on. I think the back half of the record from Library Pictures to That’s Where You’re Wrong is fantastic. She’s Thunderstorms is a great opener as well. I’m really excited for the new album
Suck It And See is my least favorite but Don't Sit Down is great you guys are crazy. And Brick by Brick is fun.
I'll bite: WPSTWIN FWN AM Humbug SIAS It's weird seeing Humbug so low on my list because I love that album. Just goes to show how strong their discography is.
