Wow it's really hard to make coherent arguments isn't it

 

I think there's more to this line than you're picking up tbh. It's interesting bc that first one there could be read as a reference to the garden of Eden, and the follow-up plays with that sun/moon masc/fem imagery. The other lyrics to the song reference Jesus, and he's talking about a base on the moon, almost like paradise.... but he's questioning that.

 

Like what do you want me to say? You're right, after reading that one line by itself I no longer find any of the writing on the whole album gripping

 

I didn't even say it was bad I couldn't jam out to it...
I'm really failing to see how people are taking your side on this. I'm legitimately confused and concerned. It's like people aren't even remotely paying attention.

Album Ranking time?

 

I mean look you came in with really useless posts and got mad that people naturally got defensive and started trying to lecture on the way people type??? and you're the one who started it all! we'd all be happy to discuss our disagreements about the record but you came in on the attack and then tried getting on a high horse when people responded how you'd expect them to respond

 

Really like the guitar bridge in one point perspective.

Makes me enjoy the piano and bass that follows a lot more

im not sure how id even rank their existing albums. the debut and AM are super close to the top. the rest are just behind

 

lol i've listened to this 15 times in the last two days. what a wild ride.

 

All of the records are fantastic. FWN has the nostaliga factor for me, I used to have it on 24/7 back in my skater days haha.

Not sure how I’d rank the other three but they’re all great. They’ve all been growers for me aside from the debut.

 

Yeah I relate to this, listening to the first two records makes me feel like I'm 17 again ha

 

I think this is where I am on the other albums.

This one could easily end up anywhere on the list though! Really loving it so far - four out of five an early favourite

 

Their whole discography is kind of clicking for me all at once right now and it's very exciting.

 

i got into them with AM so it's right at the top for me for that reason, but the debut is soooo fucking charming and ridiculously well put together for their age at the time, i cant help but love it

 

I think the only one I haven’t clicked with is SIAS.

Humbug i disliked until I saw the songs live, but now I love it

 

This isn't gonna be my favorite from them but that's because of how highly I think of so many of their other albums. Who knows, maybe it will. But I think this album is fantastic and fuck if it isn't amazing to smoke up and listen to it in your bed.
