yeah id say theyve been incredibly consistent and theres an argument to be made that they get better with every album but i wouldnt be one to make that argument i dont think.

their debut is my favorite but AM and Humbug arent far behind

 

AM is great but it’s probably my least favorite, maybe just above Suck It and See. Favourite Worst Nightmare and Humbug are my favorites.

 

for half its runtime, yes

 

The production on the first song is really really familiar.

 

I’ll take AM over Humbug, that’s it.

 

Humbug never gets its fair shake. Undoubtedly my favorite of theirs.

Yeah this band doesn’t have a bad album imo, each one is great in its own way. I’ll always have fond memories getting drunk and wired to the first two albums, some great songs to do cocaine to on those lol

 

I ranked their albums here about a month ago, and I'm gonna rank them again now. I swear it changes almost weekly.

I was super into the first two albums, and AM got me back into them a bit. Really digging this one a lot though.

I'm glad my life is so hectic right now that I've been able to avoid the leak.

 

I've never understood this band. I didn't know well why everybody loves it and I don't. I just like a couple songs (Fluorescent Adolescent, Mardy Bum, maybe Do I Wanna Know?), but with this last album I confirmed my theories: This band is completely not for me.

 

Fluorescent Adolescent is one of my least favorite songs from this band. It reminds me of All The Small Things in that one of my favorite bands has a song that everyone loves but I can’t stand.

 

Dunno if somebody asked before...so I never really got into their discography beside the AM.I did like songs here and there before but nothing really grew on me as much as AM,which I really love....question is should I be stoked on Friday release?i mean Iam stoked anyway but should I be STOKED AF?haha

 

Don't worry, the album sucks.

 

I think it's pretty good

 

This is a cool ass, chill, groovy record. And it gets better with each listen. First I just had it as background music, second listen I sat down and read the lyrics , and for this third listen I’m just hitting my cartridge and taking it all in.

 

Listened to this on my commute today and wasn’t really a fan. But I haven’t liked much from this band since FWN, so I wasn’t too surprised.

Edit: should say I can definitely see why people would be into this though. Just not really my thing.

 

I’m digging the vibes of this album a lot.

For those not digging, I think these songs will translate better in a live setting, that’s how I felt with AM. Wasn’t really feeling it until I saw them perform a lot of those songs a couple weeks after release

 

I’ve never appreciated this band more. Really looking forward to Friday.

 

I'd be stoked, for me this is their best release in almost a full decade. Lyrical masterwork too
