Sorry haha! If most people don’t want to listen to/discuss it yet I’m fine with holding off.

Honestly I think I understand now why there’s no pre-release single, there really *isn’t* an obvious single choice imo. Very bold album.

 

"four out of five" seems like the only one so far that could have fit that mold.

 

"one point perspective" is a top tier arctic monkeys song. really wish i had the lyrics to this album

LOL. mid-way through the second track this was the exact thought that entered my head.

The quality of the leak still isn't perfect as it's a vinyl rip so I'm not going to spend too much time with this until it's out in CDQ. My initial thoughts are....I have no idea. Need like 1000 more listens.

This sounds like an Alex Turner solo record with his bandmates just there to make up the numbers. Can't express how few fucks I have to give about this whole arrangement.

I still like the no singles approach. It’s been a long time since I went into a record I was looking forward to having heard none of it prior to its release.

Every Arctic Monkeys album has been a grower for me except for their debut. I was really disappointed with Humbug but now it’s my second favorite. Really looking forward to this.
