none needed. Thought it might be a “cool” way to refer to him when he’s delivering work for the band & not on some solo project or producing someone else

full concert film dropping in a couple hours:

 

only one listen in but thinking this is definitely a good Sunday daytime album. Like Ooh La La by Faces or Gaucho by Steely Dan

 

haha I almost made a "further listening if you like this" list and gaucho was on it

I’d be surprised if they hadn’t “auditioned” before. That said, the latest trend of Bond films just going to the biggest pop stars possible makes me think the Monkeys’ chance has come and gone.

Ok I’ve changed my tune on this, I like it a lot and the closer is my favorite.

 

Alex Turner is really good at singing “CinemaScope”

 

Took a bit longer to click than the last one but I love this now

 

I get and sort of agree with people who miss their old energy but I’m a huge fan of their recent direction

 

I can't wait to hear these new songs live, especially in a stadium

 

Does the first track attempt to pick up where the last track of TBHC left off? I tried it & am not musically smart enough to tell haha

 

This ain’t doing it for me and I like the last one.

 

give it time, took me like 7 listens to get to liking it a lot

haven't been able to get back to this yet but Live at Kings Theater up on the tube was great

 

my record store said this sold out way faster than TBHC & that demand for back ordered pressings is still coming in. they didn’t expect it & I don’t blame em.
