The "rain, rain go away" lyric in 'Judgement Day' is pure cringe to me for some reason. I think it takes me back to primary school in my head and I end up skipping it lol. As for the rest, it's very "samey" throughout.
I don’t know how people can say this all sounds alike when you have songs like Everything Ends and Brain Dead back to back.
Not being a dick or trying to take the piss out of anyone, but it seems like the low vocals fucking crushed it live, especially on Black Hole. New guy on guitar is also helping a ton with giving Sam a breather when he’s gotta go from guttural to clean. I’m impressed as hell.
A few weeks in, and the Brain Dead-Broken Mirror run is top tier. I sort of ruined the album experience by overplaying the singles. But they still all hit. And the opener and closing tracks are up there with anything else. So I guess the whole album rules?
Just saw them for the first time. Apparently they haven't been here in 11 years. Can confirm low vocals live were amazing, not a fan of it in general but learned to enjoy when they do it. And yes did not know they had backup vocals, they definitely help - most of time they're actually doubling vocals Iike in the records. Even the falsettos haha Didn't want to be that fan but wish they balanced the high number of mid-tempo/ industrial songs of the latter records with more of the either fast or otherwise older stuff. Lot of fans including myself were well acquainted with the new album, the songs rip live.
This record is really good but got market corrected for me by the new Spiritbox. Everything Ends bangs.
For me it’s the other way around. I was way more excited for spiritbox but idk… don’t fuck with that record at all.
BIG venues. First time with a proper headliner in America in a hot minute. I still have my “FTTWTE” tickets from the 2021 tour that never was.
They did one last year with while she sleeps opening in may and then came back later in the year for a 2’d leg So 3 major USA tours in a year
Alright, selfishly, this is their first time playing MN in a while and I am jacked to the tits to see it
Saw them in Minneapolis tonight and they fucking brought it. Excellent setlist, just wish it was longer. Sam gave a great speech about being two years sober today. Every song was tight, production was 10/10 and the crowd went OFF on the new stuff. Go check them out. This is a special show.
still super not a fan of the new one, dont think its possible for them to get me on the ship anymore, but i am excited to see erra in two weeks on their bill and i will always have daybreaker
