I'm here for the music though. So I don't really care about all the other noise (i.e. Album rollouts)....maybe some people do, which is just odd to me.
Ok Yea not a fan of this one. Still really like the first 2 singles though. Ends on a high note though.
I can get down with it, could see them extending this into a tasty jam session live if they wanted to. I'm pretty sure I have no idea what this album is going to sound like, even 3 singles in. I like all of these singles for different reasons, which is pretty cool.
Listening to the 3 songs in sequence has made me really excited for the album. I enjoy EN and SoL a lot more in context of Creature Comfort (which is easily the best of the 3). It also gave me an epiphany as to why Reflektor wasn't as good as their other albums (tho I still say it's solid). The biggest problem with Reflektor honestly might have been James Murphy producing. I hate to say that becuause LCD is one of my all time favorite acts, but what makes LCD great and what makes Arcade great is polar opposite. LCD is all about dance songs with subtlety and patience. Arcade Fire is all about in you face immediate emotion. So when you mix the two on Reflektor you ended up getting bloated songs. But listening to these 3 in block leads me to believe they've solved that.
Yeah, right now I'm getting the sense that these songs are a much more cohesive version of the first half of Reflektor. We probably won't hear anything else until the album is out, so I'm really intrigued as to how it's going to play out in the later tracks. But so far so good.
