three minutes of this movie and it already *looks* infinitely better than the flash ever did

 

I’ll give you that

 

The trailer looks alright.

 

Those movies were fine.

It was not, but hyperbole gets you more attention.

Eh. They aren’t on a very good run at the moment. The only ones I liked in 2022/2023 so far are MOM and GOTG3.

Love and Thunder sucked despite having some great pieces and ideas. They just were wasted.

I found Wakanda Forever to be pretty boring and I didn’t really care about Shuri. Losing Chadwick was a huge blow and they made the changes they had to. He is not easily replaced.

Quantumania is another that maybe had a few cool ideas, but ultimately it was just a non stop barrage of bad CGI. It was too much. They really needed more time pre quantum realm to flesh out the characters and their dynamics more.

And to go further back in Phase 4, the only other good movies were No Way Home and Shang-Chi.

All this to say that Marvel has not been consistently good in a hot minute. Their hot streak ended with Endgame. Phase 3 was fire.

 

Yea, this looks pretty stupid. But it’ll probably be entertaining, even if mostly forgettable in the long run

 

Shazam 2 is worth a watch.

 

Agreed. Like, it needed more Billy and less Shazam, but Ziegler was great. And I’m blanking on his name, but the one who crushed on her was really good in both forms. And despite being product placement, I thought the Skittles parts were funny.

 

I mean I would still personally choose to watch even Love and Thunder or Quantumania over most DCEU movies and they’re both pretty bad.

 

It’s hit or Miss for me.

 

I’m just excited for Aquaman 2 to come out so we can finally move on. I’m excited to see what the DCU has in store for us

I don’t know if his inclusion outweighs Amber Heard being marginalized and Willem Dafoe being to busy to return, but I’m happy for that little man.
