I actually hate that the smaller size is essentially being eliminated. To me that’s the “normal size watch” option. I have an SE1 (40mm) and was thinking I’d update this year, but I have no interest in a 45mm watch for the size of my wrist.

 

I feel you. I think, watch trends in general, are going back towards thinner and smaller across the board. Large watches aren't in style anymore unless they're something like a working watch (think dive watch, dive computer, etc so Ultra size). I don't mind my 45mm at all, 49mm seems way too big to me even as the Ultra has grown on me as I've been giving it a shot and it's only 1mm thicker than my Seiko dive watch.

I'm increasingly more interested in a smart ring and being able to wear watches as I want but none of the rings really do it for me so I'm probably going to return the Ultra I'm trying and keep the S7 for longer, even if it's battery life is leaving much to be desired.

 

The battery life is the main thing I'd improve on my S6. It gets me through a single day, maybe just barely into the next (if I don't log a workout). Going a handful of days or a week without charging was the biggest comparative benefit of the Fitbits I had previously. I probably won't be upgrading anytime soon, but I'd love to see them use their engineering advances to extend battery life instead of keeping it steady at the bare minimum.

 

Battery life is the only thing that's making me even consider keeping the Ultra. Having to charge once every two days is such a stupid improvement that I prefer it.

 

This might definitely change my mind if true. I like the ultra for the bigger size, but don't necessarily need everything that comes along with it. If I could get a larger regular watch with the same size - that might be the one I go for.

 

Maybe they end up keeping the smaller size as the se option?

 

Battery life is the only reason I went ultra and after a year and a half mine doesn’t make it 8 hours anymore. I feel like it’s something specific to mine though

 

I'd try and get it swapped if it's under warranty.

 

Hey how bad would it be if I left a powered down MacBook Pro in my trunk for an hour or so in 80 degree weather?

I have an MRI scheduled for right after my work shift on Friday. It's next door to my office so it doesn't make sense to drive my laptop back to my apartment first. Not sure the best thing to do, I don't want to damage it.

 

given that your macbooks internals can reach up to 200 degrees during heavy loads... you're fine. Just make sure it's not in direct sunlight.

I will once again upgrade my iPhone when doing so is completely unnecessary

 

it's been 2 years for me, I'm excited

but i'll be out of town on launch day so I'll have to wait a couple days

I’m at 80% capacity in my 13 Mini but I don’t really ever have to worry about it dying. The 18 minute drive on the way home from work with it plugged into CarPlay gives it enough juice for the rest of the day. Truly a great phone!

 

For some reason, CarPlay has stopped announcing messages for me in my RAV4 and I’m not sure why because everything is switched on. Do any of you have any suggestions to try to fix this? I’ve only had CarPlay for about three months and it’s never happened before

 

I was looking at a SE 2nd watch for my girlfriend and right now they are about $50 off, do you guys think there is any chance the price drops anymore after the event in two weeks or should I go ahead and go for it now?

I have a 2nd generation SE and I'm now starting to think about upgrading, assuming it will last until the next SE model drops.

 

Got the M3 Air 15" with 16GB of Ram (my first mac).

Going to need some time getting the hang of macOS, but so far, it's pretty sick.

 

I have a 1st gen SE and will upgrade if and when they bring back rose gold aluminum. Until then I’ll be keeping my 2020 watch
