The App Store, Spotify, and Europe’s thriving digital music market

 

I use and like both services and both are probably guilty of things but yikes, Spotify sound like babies in this case. Nobody is avoiding using Spotify because they have to go to a separate site to sign up/pay.

 

Yup traded in the 15 in air for a space black m3 pro today

 

Kind of want to trade my M1 MBPro 14 for the new M3 Air. For the general stuff I do (basic emailing and light Adobe work - nothing huge) I feel like I have too much machine and would prefer to have the lighter option. Thoughts?

 

I have a 2021 M2 Macbook Pro that I feel is too much machine for me as well, but my old employer bought it for me (and I got to keep it when I left heh) but I definitely would go for the Air now if I was buying something for myself

 

The M2 Air is truly an awesome machine - especially when you describe what you use it for so I think the M3 air would be perfect - the display on the Air isn’t as nice as the M1 Pro Display tho

I loved my 15 inch Air I just needed that sweet sweet space black

 

Yeah - I've been getting a little more into Adobe Illustrator stuff but i'm not trying to edit 4K videos in premiere or anything so I would assume the M3 will be plenty of machine to handle it. Plus I use my laptop in clamshell mode with a display most times anyways so the display isn't as big of a deal either.

 

Does anyone’s Apple Music widget consistently work for them? Like this morning I listened to half of Haim’s debut, then just now pressed “play” on the widget, showing said album, it just started from the start again.

The amount of time it just randomly clears my play queue is frustrating as well.

Custom playlist orders are also entirely hit and miss. Sort my playlist order (newest added to oldest) somewhat works but often randomly puts some newest down with the oldest and vice versa.

It also does some weird/odd skips on my Sonos system when Airplaying.

Reinstalled app, updated phone, turned it on/off etc etc.

Don’t get me started on the random album splitting. I’ve just made peace with that one and the fact I have to fix that every so often.

Just seems to have constant intermittent bugs.

I’ve been getting it free through promos for ages, so I can’t really complain, and would like to move fully over from Spotify as I much prefer their Apple TV app and Spotify’s AI playlists although sometimes on point often become and echo chamber and AM is better for albums, which I listen to a lot.

 

If someone made me listen to HAIM’s debut from the beginning I would just do it.

The first 4 songs on that record are perfection

 

My Apple Music is always messing up. Seems like it’s just me. It’s mostly minor so I guess I just accept this is the life I live now

 

i had to delete the widget, it would never work right. widgets have been such a massive overall disappointment for me lol

 

Yeah the only widgets I really use are ones that only require a glance. HomeKit one is the only interactive one I really use and even then, muscle memory sends me to control centre.

 

There’s nothing more annoying than when my phone autodims for no reason when I have the brightness turned all the way up. Now it seems to be doing something similar with volume

 

Anyone else’s phone do the thing where you slide the volume all the way down in control center and immediately bumps back up to like 15%

 

best cases for 15 pro max?

I’d like it to be as small and ergonomic as possible while also actually doing its job of protecting the phone. Also does this protruding camera need protecting from a case?

 

Apple’s trade-in valuation is so ridiculous. I just noticed my iPad Pro screen had a crack in it, it’s not even noticeable when the screen is on and I‘m not sure when it even happened. And my options are $550 screen replacement or $80 trade-in.

I’ll probably just wait until they have a good deal to get a new one but that’s fucking insane.

Could anyone possibly help me with this issue, started today randomly and nothing changed on my end that I'm aware of but I've been using iTunes Match for years now and today I'm having issue loading new songs that I just downloaded from Amazon (New Gaslight EP fwiw) and seems to be stuck on this forever and music is not showing up properly on my Apple Music (iPhone app).

MicroLED development for the Apple Watch which would eventually bleed into the iPhone has been cancelled by Apple today.

 

my 2015 MBP is on its last legs and god dammit that black looks nice. is that a pro or an air? i haven't kept up with computers in a minute.
