this phone's battery life is awful. is there a setting that is new that might be on that idk about that is guzzling battery? i am hoping this might just be a 17.2.1 issue? always on display has been turned off since i got the phone so thats not it.

Yeah I'd think give it a few days to a week to judge it. I think the phone is probably still indexing everything

 

Yeah there’s a lot of background processes happening in the beginning. And yeah during the first few days the battery life of every iphone is horrible.

Just watched the Blackberry movie (never had one) but it was such a landmark moment in tech when Steve Jobs revealed the iPhone on stage back in 2007 and completely wiped them out.

I remember watching the reveal and it is easily still one of the best moments in tech.

If I didn't have other priorities for this year, I think I'd go for one of those, mainly to watch movies on

 

I have no use for it at this point in my life

generation 4 is usually the apple sweet spot (iPhone iPad watch)

 

Too expensive for me and I agree that maybe Version 3 or 4 is where I might take the leap. However, my father in law just got diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and so I've been taking as many spatial videos as I can in hopes that one day we can watch them on the vision pro.

 

Have to have the sort of American optimism where I'm rich enough to afford this by the time we're at generation 4

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro (non Retina display) and my charger is shredded. I tried electrical tape and that shrink tubing and it’s just not doing the job. I cannot find a replacement charger (60w). I looked on their website but nothing. Amazon looks sketch for off brands. Pls help?

 

I started messing around with Todoist this morning, and while it’s not the easiest to get the hang of, I think I’m going to really like it as long as I keep up with it which is always my problem when it comes to productivity apps. I keep forgetting to do things at work including showing up for meetings I’ve scheduled with people so I decided it was time to once again see if an app can help my atrophying brain.

 

I've bounced around in a few different to do apps. I was using reminders the most but felt like I was just dumping all my thoughts into it and not having a system in assigning them. I started using Things3 a few weeks ago and I like how I can dump everything into the inbox but then assign them elsewhere in specific projects, dates, deadlines, etc.

Now the challenge will be to keep up with assigning everything once they hit the inbox and actually stick to them all.
