My wife dropped her 11 three times yesterday, but she has an Otterbox Defender on it... no chance she's going caseless with her 15PM.

I have quite literally never damaged any phone I've ever owned in any way and would probably be just fine without a case, but I just don't because I always think of the what if.

I decided that, since I have to pick up my Pro Max at the Apple Store anyway, I'm going to use it as an opportunity to hold all the case options in hand and just buy one while I'm there.

I use a case solely because I rarely feel like I have a good grip on a naked phone lol

My wife's going up to OKC for the state fair Friday so I told her to just go to the apple store up there and try them out in hand like that too to decide which to get. But Sean's offer is tempting.

Geez, the FineWoven case is a huge bust. I’d go naked but for 1. Phone slipperiness, 2. I like to regularly wipe my phone with alcohol wipes to disinfect it and alcohol + natural titanium does not mix. The clear cases just trap and show lint in my experience so not sure what the next best option is.

I’m looking at all the cheap cases on Amazon and why do they all say “Cartoon Character: Batman” in the description

FineWoven seems like it's really bad from reviews. They would have been better with some form of vegan leather like cactus.

My FineWoven was scratched in the box. Sending it back. They've made a boo boo with this material I think. Can't see it holding up well against spills, hand oils, and scratches/pulls from catching it. A little disappointed. Silicone it is!

My delivery date has said Monday for me since I ordered, but UPS tracking shows by end of day tomorrow

These finewoven reviews are wild, has there ever been a Apple product this uniformly poorly reviewed?

Curious - this had never even occurred to me, as I also occasionally wipe my phone down with alcohol wipes. I know titanium is highly reactive, but my chemistry knowledge pretty much ends there. My cursory google search said it's just fine to wipe down any consumer-grade titanium with alcohol?

Oddly specific question but does anyone who currently or has lived in an apartment complex with package lockers where UPS delivers, do you know if they will just drop it off to the locker even if signature is required?

  15. i want to say the office can sign for it for you and hold it but idk if i would necessarily trust that assuming it's an iphone..lol

My UPS driver has somehow called me before to come down and sign, but not sure if that's normal or how that even happened

  17. i've also read that sometimes you can like leave instructions/permission for the driver to leave it without signature but that releases them from fault if it's stolen so i'm also not sure i would do that...sorry for double bad suggestions lol.

If you have UPS My Choice (there is a free option), you can provide a signature release for one, or all your packages. It has an area where you can instruct the driver where to leave it. Obviously I don't recommend that unless you're pretty comfortable that people in the building won't steal it, etc., but it is typically an option.

I think I may just re-route it to pick up at a UPS store to avoid the hassle.

I was thinking of doing the pre-sign thing that it shows on my order, but yeah then any fault to them goes away. Plus, my actual building I live in is code enterenace only. Usually delivery drivers get temp codes but I've still seen times where they haven't and leave packages at the front door of the building lol

Was thinking about that too, just leaving a note on the door if anything... we deal with out UPS guy weekly and he's super nice, so I think that may work. We've done it before... hell... dude just left my pit-boss grill on a pallet the other week out front. Was clearly obvious what it was, too, and that said signature required.

This isn't going to be helpful but I had a similar circumstance. I ordered an iPad pro and a case about a year or so ago and was in an apartment at the time. The case got delivered first and I guess it had the signature requirement because it was part of the iPad order and the sent it to a store because I wasn't at work and wasn't able to sign. When the actual iPad got delivered they just left it in the package room lol.

They will leave it at in the Amazon Hub here at my complex and just have an employee in the office sign. Anything can technically happen, but I've never had a single problem with it before.

UPS does not have the option to hold the package at a hub or store this year, even with a My Choice account.

I've been watching a bunch of case reviews today and the fact that every single one just lightly rubs their fignernail over the FineWoven cases and leaves a permanent scratch has got to be one of the most ridiculous oversights in Apple's had in a long time. Why would anyone want that? It's not like the patina on leather, it just looks like a damaged case immediately.

And it's not like it's some sharp object that you theoretically shouldn't be raking across the back of your phone case. It's a fingernail.
