Otterbox symmetry for me every phone

 

Decided against the update for the phone (see how long i last on this committment!). I had just bought airpods pro before usb c case. So in some form of weird allegiance to lightening, i'll just keep the phone and do a double ditch to usb c when my airpods pro are knackered.

 

Hmm, the download/listen to Apple Radio shows via the Podcasts app doesn’t seem to be live yet in iOS 17. Don’t recall seeing it was was delayed or not coming until a later update.

 

Does anyone have thoughts on Apples Upgrade Program vs a carrier upgrade? I have ATT Next Up program. I've long thought about switching to Apple's program so I wouldn't be locked to a specific carrier. Looks like it might be a little more expensive since they can't offer the same subsidized/bill credit offers like carriers?

 

I don't know what the Next Up program is like right now, but I switched from getting my phone through AT&T to the Apple Upgrade program about six years ago because it gave more flexibility for regular upgrades and it also includes AppleCare+ (I think the cost is similar when accounting for that coverage). In that time, I've done a few annual upgrades and kept one phone for the full two years before trading it in for $500 when I re-enrolled in the Upgrade Program (the only confusing/unclear thing was that they processed this as a refund - they also refunded the tax on top of it). I fortunately haven't had to use AppleCare for the phone much, but it's nice to have the peace of mind. I don't really have any complaints about the program; it's mostly been straightforward and a breeze to upgrade (occasional website issues aside).

love the standby feature of the new ios. however, i was getting notifications to pop up when i first tried it, but now i'm not?

 

I’ve always been wary about switching too, I remember looking it up once, got confused, and stopped lol. Got my last 14 pro for quite cheap and I never get apple care so I’m not sure what the incentive is for the apple upgrade, aside from sticking it to Verizon.

 

Finally started using the MacBook M1 that I got for my ex last Christmas.

Trading in my iPad. This thing is so nice. Loving the thinness and metal body.

Does Adaptive only work with iOS17? Any other updates needed to make the airpods update?

 

Hearing mostly negative impressions of the new FineWoven cases bums me out. I was excited about it. Always been an Apple Leather guy, but was all for the switch.
