the last (2) times i have broken a phone, both times were the back of the phone and both times i brought it to apple they looked at me like they were trying to figure out the nicest way to tell me i had a terminal illness.

 

How quickly do the preorders generally go for the new lineups?

 

Not as quickly as it used to be but you’ll want to do within the first few hours

 

Upgrading from the SE2 to the 15 pro. I was going to maybe use the SE2 for a few more years but that natural titanium looks too good.

Couple more questions based on past experiences for people:
Do the max and or pro models tend to have higher demand compared to the regular model for preorder?
What have the shipping dates been like for the last few releases?

 

100% the Pro models sell out before the regular models. Delivery date is generally the following Friday if you order within like 30 minutes. Then they start to slip to weeks an hour or so after pre-order opens, then maybe a month or two out several hours after pre-orders open.

 

My Citizen loan payment for my current iPhone is scheduled for tomorrow (which is obviously when preorders go up). Does anyone know whether they have something in place to avoid being charged twice this month? The timing feels bad.

 

I could probably go caseless with the regular Pro, but absolutely not with the Max. I'm still trying to decide which size I'm going with. The more I think about it, the 3x optical zoom feels more practical than the 5x for most scenarios I'm usually taking pictures in.

Did something I don’t normally do and installed iOS 17 on my phone before release.

Standby Mode is so simple, but is such an amazing feature.

 

So, what are ya'll ordering tomorrow?

Going back and forth between the 15 regular w/ 256 GB in pink, or the 15Pro Plus 256GB natural titanium for my wife, while I just keep my 11 for another year since I'm not sure where I'll personally be worldwide next year.

 

I wish the natural was a little less warm. Now it just feels too much like the gold Pro I already have except maybe a little less tacky. (Marques said it's essentially Starlight)

 

Nothing this year it seems. Honestly I can't see a good reason to jump from my 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max when it will just be in a case and I don't care about USB C. The slightly bigger screen is nice from the bezel decrease but yeah. I will wait to hear what the camera upgrades bring from a review.

The jump from Series 8 to 9 is honestly so so small that there just isn't any reason for me to upgrade there. The brighter screen is nice but I don't think it is worth splurging again.
