I can either buy

1) 14” MBP 16gb
2) 13” MBAir 24gb

I’d save a third of the price if I go with the Air but I’m not sure if a reduction from 16CPU to 10CPU would be worth the higher ram + cheaper price.

I’d mostly be using it for visual design and writing. Any suggestions?

 

Y’all are always so good at this maybe y’all can help. I was trying to make an in app purchase and it kept having me enter my Apple ID password. And it was just and endless loop so I changed it. Then it told me the purchase failed so I go to my settings to change my payment info because I got a new debit card. It’s doing the same thing, just and endless loop of having me enter my Apple ID password. Then just takes me right back to the settings screen. Any ideas? I already rebooted

 

It’s definitely something going on with my Apple ID because I can’t even reinstall apps or access Apple Music

 

Not the same thing, so maybe not helpful, but for a while I was constantly getting notifications to re-sign into my MacBook’s iCloud account. Wouldn’t accept my password, it just kept coming back unless I closed it. iirc, it hasn’t don’t it lately so it went away on its own (well, following a big hard drive cleanup, fwiw).

idk, between that and the TV 4k constantly asking me to log back into apple tv perhaps apple just likes the thrill of us logging in.

 

I’ve been chatting with apple support all day and the best they could come up with was a shrug and better luck next time. What the hell

 

Trying a big Hail Mary:

My 2019 MacBook Pro battery died last night and I plugged it in overnight only to wake up to it not wanting to turn on. I’ve tried the different button pressing troubleshooting, plugging the charger into different ports, and also talked to someone at the Genius Bar that wasn’t able to get it to boot up. It was $700 to send it offsite for diagnostics/repair, so I thought I’d check here to see if anyone had any ideas before I bite the bullet on that (probably tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on my work schedule). Any help would be incredibly appreciated!

 

Well tier 2 Apple support couldn’t help me either. Apple ID works fine on my watch and iPad. Can’t do anything on my phone. It won’t even let them run diagnostics

Anyone having issues with iMessage showing to your contacts that you have silenced notifications even though you haven’t?

I turned off all of my focuses/deleted them/restarted the phone and reactivated iMessage with no luck.

 

Is it true the Studio Display won’t work with a blu ray player that uses an HDMI to USB-C cable? That’s a massive deal breaker if so.

 

Anyone know which iPad is good to use with procreate ? Not looking to get latest version but how old can it be ?

 

For procreate I’d try a member of the opposite sex. If you want to watch others procreate, an air would probably work well. Plenty of processing power to stream and good screen size.

 

realistically, unless you’re a pro, pretty much any one in recent memory. The biggest factor to think about is RAM, as this dictates how many layers you can have. With iPad pros, you’ll probably never worry about it. With others, you still don’t really have to worry about it because you can just combine layers, though. The 2018 pro is great value but by this point 2019 and 2020 devices aren’t far off price wise.

 

Anyone else experience ghost touch or the touchscreen just going haywire or un responsive on iPhone?

I have a 13 Pro Max that's driving me nuts.

was bored today so I downloaded the Sonoma beta to mess around

 

Not sure if there’s any Apple gamers in here but the new game porting toolkit is making waves.

 

On the back of my last post, emulation is pretty solid on the ARM Macs as well. If you can backup your games, CEMU and Ryujinx offer much better FPS's and resolutions than their native hardwares.

I managed to dump BOTW and start my play through using CEMU and it is breathtaking in 2k.
