the vision pro stuff looks amazing. definitely a better version of stuff like Oculus Quest plus great pass thru tech, but at $3500 that is simply not a mass market product.
It will be interesting to see how that product develops in the next five-ish years, if Apple gets aggressive with the pricing of a non-pro Vision or they keep that “premium” distance.
Maybe it will be that iPod nano effect where they are using this expensive product to drive down the costs through greasing various supply chains and stabilizing the cost over time, like the nano did with flash memory. Obviously some of the tech in the VP is much more proprietary than flash storage, but you get my point.
Overall a pretty average WWDC; boring iPad updates, Craig being Craig, and a video game creator showing off a shitty game that came out years ago finally arriving on Mac. I hope the iPhone event in September is a bit more spry and compelling.

Third party VPN support is coming to Apple TV in September which is also a huge deal. No more having to do it all on my phone or desktop and air playing to the TV

I wonder if contact lens will just work with this so you don't need the prescription lens which will no doubt cost a fortune.

I completely missed the ability to just look at your Mac screen for it to become a display. Pretty impressive, that was my number one feature.

I can guarantee in the future we will just have a keyboard and mouse / trackpad with a headset like this to manage all the screens you need.

The battery being only 2 hours is a killer but I heard you can directly plug it in for constant wear.

I think I wouldn't mind having a hand-held trackpad thing you could use your thumb to manage the navigation between apps and within them

  16. Wait is there room in the stupid goggles for people who wear glasses?

Id imagine so. You can wear other headsets with glasses. But for 3500 they better cure my vision too

They should. Before lasik, I used the PSVR with contacts with no issues.

The look on Tim’s when he delivered the infamous “one more thing” was such a joy when standing in the middle of the Steve Jobs Theater

Some cool tidbits I hadn’t seen elsewhere in this post.

Detailed song credits, collaborative playlists and SharePlay where people without Apple Music can add/edit the queue etc, some decent podcasts UI updates.

Now please, please just give me a playlist of my “loved songs”. My smart playlist works great but there’s so many one off songs I have where I don’t want them in my library/collection.
