The interactive music widget will be handy. Although I wish both the TV App and Music App got some love.

I bought a Valve Index at the beginning of the pandemic and owned both Quests so you guys don't have to.

I think AR is most definitely the future but this smells of a crappy beta product. A great $3500 luxury toy.

Vision Pro costs even more than the rumours, wow.

v1 is very promising but I can see currently future iterations building massively on today.

The OS looks a bit limiting today.

I can’t imagine spending £3500 on anything in tech/luxury. Never mind a first version of an Apple Device.

  14. Don't see myself wanting AR/VR even if it was built into my current glasses, to be honest, just ... not sure where the use case is for me.

I don’t want one, but I did think it looked absolutely amazing for what it is, especially compared to the other headsets currently on the market. I’m excited to see impressions and reviews, and to maybe even try one on in the Apple Store if I’m ever in an Apple Store. Using it for work instead of a multi-monitor setup could be really cool, and obviously movies would be fun. (But, also, I’d feel sad and uncomfortable with my life if I started spending time on the couch watching movies through a headset, haha.)

I am interested to see where it goes from here. It’s hard for me not to imagine it being relatively successful considering it’s an Apple product.

I can see this being really cool for architects and real estate but the price is very off putting for what it offers currently.

I think because Apple has made such an absurd amount of money over the last decade, sitting on a Scrooge McDuck-level of money now in the bank, that they basically felt comfortable enough to finally dump tens of billions in R&D into a new and unproven product like the Vision Pro. It feels like the kind of product that is ripe for huge amounts of improvements in future versions (like the initial iPhone), which is where the future value will shine I think (at a cheaper price too).

I think the key development push for this over the next several years will probably be in making it more compact/smaller, so it doesn't look like such a huge thing you have on your face.
