From what I’ve heard that might be on the back burner for now; nobody really knows anything

 

I’m hoping there’s an October event and we get a new Apple TV

 

Watched the 14 Pro section of the keynote again, and I’m pretty damn sure that Dynamic Island is one of the coolest software ideas Apple has ever come up with. Using hardware obstacles to your software advantages.

 

Maybe it’s dumb but I think that and the always on display are what’s convincing me to upgrade from my 12 Pro

do I want a Max though? The only Plus/Max I’ve ever had was the 7 Plus and I thought it was maybe a little too big at the time.

 

Well it’s always going to depend on the person of course but a two-year upgrade is normal routine. Last year felt like an “S” year for the Pro model. This is a serious leap in software feature, safety, and camera over even just last years models.

 

Yeah, prior to the 12 Pro I upgraded yearly. The 13 really felt like a small update, I barely thought about it. The 14 seems awesome.

 

Everyone’s preference is different and your mileage may vary, but the only larger sized model I ever had was the 6s Plus, and when I eventually upgraded again I told myself I’d stick with the regular size from there on out. I liked the extra screen real estate when I was at home, but the phone felt too big in the pocket for me on the go, and one hand usage was always a challenge.

 

I upgraded after paying off my Apple upgrade plan last year, and it was a weird workaround where I bought the new phone, brought the old phone to the store, and then they put money back on my card through the purchase of the new phone. Honestly, it was a very confusing process (and hard to get information about), but it worked out well overall.

 

Also, the CD flying out of the car in the crash portion of the iPhone commercial is way funnier to me than it should be.

 

I entertained the idea of the ultra in my head for about two seconds until I saw pictures of it on someone’s wrist. I would get sick of the size/weight over time, and I’m definitely no extreme sports enthusiast. So I just ordered myself a midnight 45 mm series 8. Delivery was delayed 1-2 weeks so i gotta drive 45 min to get it on release day

 

There were no “instant upgrade” features announced across the lines for me. Not saying I ain’t upgrading though!

Watch - don’t think any of the lines really targeted me. The series 8 doesnt have enough features to warrant an upgrade imo. The Ultra I like the idea of, but no way can I pull that watch size off on my tiny wrist. Or perhaps the major points I don’t do any ultra activities lol!

I was hoping there would be something as my solo loop is broken and would have used that as an excuse to upgrade lol.

AirPods Pro - My current ones are knackered, so will be upgrading.

Phone - I think what they have done with notch is cool. I’m on upgrade plan so will probably just get it.

 

I could see them coming out with the 15 prior to next September with this lackluster upgrade.

Proper upgrades to tvOS would be more beneficial to me than a new device.

 

Very important safety features, a camera system pushing the boundaries of professional photography equipment, and one of Apple's best, and most innovative software features ever - Upgrades aren't solely based on aesthetics.

 

I just changed my preorder save to the deep purple now that i looked again. good call.

 

I think in 2 years, the pro model will be more interesting to me. I think they'll have figured out what to do better with the dynamic island idea. Right now I just don't find much value in it, and I never take enough pictures that the camera would make the upgrade worth it.

I mostly want that damn iOS 16, though!
