My god this new M2 MBA is a completely different experience form my 2015 MBP.

care to expound? I have a 2016 MBP, looking to upgrade, and am finding it difficult to reconcile whether a m2 air is sufficient.

 

Still have a 12 Pro. Can't imagine I'll need to upgrade, but I always get excited for the reveal.

Well, for me, when I bought the MBP, I bought it at a base model and there were just things that didn't age. I didn't have space, the anti glare coating was ruining the screen, had some water damage that washed out the display. I personally don't do any of the things that a Pro is designed for: I don't computer program, render videos, photo edit; anything intense. So I just spec'd out the new Air with the 10 core and some extra space. The keyboard is amazing. The display is fantastic - super snappy, and it just is running so much smoother.

mostly internet work, very basic (learning) graphic design, relatively basic Logic Pro x, but my MBP sometimes seemed to struggle with logic (for reasons that may or may not actually be due to the laptop’s capabilities). I like the thought of being able to grow into its capabilities and future proofing too.

Despite not being much of a computer person I can understand why things like RAM are important, but i don’t really know how to assess the chip in prepping the computer for those more intensive tasks. If I’m mostly pretty happy with my ‘16 MBP, will I definitely be ok with M2 air or should I anticipate some struggles if I ramp up my needs a bit? I don’t know how to reconcile “the Air M1/2 chips are incredibly fast/powerful/efficient and shrink the gap to the Pro” with “but you should still get the Pro for graphic/music production.”

 

what's the likelyhood of an update to the AirPods Pros next month? I lost my case in vegas and thinking about hold off on a replacement if an update is due

Ready for that 14 Pro. My 12 Pro is perfect, but I need the upgraded storage to probably 512gb.

 

Has anyone else running the iOS 16 and Ventura betas gotten this message? I've been able to get around it with at least one earlier version of this beta, but I can't figure out how to with the current iOS beta. I tried restarting my phone and using all of my ports and a different cable, with no progress.

 

Was able to get it to work after restarting my laptop, but it's still not ideal.

 

I’m so due for a watch upgrade. My battery is barely making it through the day.

 

This year might be the year I finally get a watch. I’ll definitely be getting the new iPhone though and potentially the new AirPods Pro if the upgrade is worth it.
