I’d say up until iOS 10 or 11 I was comfortable with doing the betas. These days, the features change so much between beta releases, I get tired of relearning things from beta to release. Also, a lot of the functionality these days requires third party devs updating their apps to be compatible with all the new OS features.

the iOS 16 public beta really drained my phone, and when I woke up this AM it said it was 10:06 AM. so I will be downgrading back lol

 

I'd give it a day to let the battery settle.

the time thing is weird though.

 

Beta for a reason no matter how stable it may appear at times!

 

Has anyone had the Beats Fit Pros and AirPods Pro? I’m considering getting the former with Prime Day sales bc AirPods Pro don’t feel comfortable to me, but was curious if they actually fit that much different.

 

i love the beat fit pros. perfect device.

 

Bought a pair a couple weeks ago after complaining in here about the powerbeats pro and it's night and day. beats fit pro are fantastic.

So my Apple TV Remote randomly stopped being able to control the volume on my tv or sound bar. All other functions work and I even tried re-learning the devices. My Apple TV registers that I’m pressing a button on the remote when trying to press the volume buttons. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I have the newest version of the Apple TV and remote.

 

This happened to me a couple months ago too. Haven't found a solution. Power control is broken, too

 

What brand of TV do you both have? I don't have this issue with mine but I'm wondering if something is weird with an update that may have gotten pushed to your actual TV and not the Apple TV?

 

I read an issue with one of the latest firmware updates may cause some button issues.

It's a super old Sony flat screen that my parents bought back when Circuit City was still in business, so no updates possible

 

Ah dang, looks like it's only the new remote affected. I have the 2015 Apple TV. Thanks for the heads up though!

 

Thanks, this is good to know. Hopefully it’ll get fixed with a future update. The light on my box flashes when I hit the button so it’s not like the remote and box aren’t registering the input.

 

A new Samsung that I got a couple of months ago and a Vizio sound bar that is a few years old.

 

Yeah the volume button issue has happened to me as well (Sony A80J). Downloading the latest beta firmware has fixed it for now.

Apple baseball games are an unwatchable product. Hopefully they don't ruin football too.

I think the viewing aspect of the baseball games have been fantastic. I think they're lacking in the commentary portion. Which makes sense with how baseball handles that nationally.

 

Yeah that's what I mean, the presentation of the game itself is fine, but you just cannot listen to it. Lacking is an extremely generous term.
