I got one for Christmas too! my partner doesn't like that whatever audio im listening to shows up on her phone even after we turned off the "handoff" feature on her phone, so I've just been using it while she's at work lol. thing is hella dope though

 

I as well got a mini that I bought for myself and already had the bigger HomePod. The multi room is insane. Only thing that throws me off is the mini using a wall block and it’s white not black matching the HomePod. Seems very non apple like that they would have just had the plug from the HomePod and no wall block

 

Is it not possible to play music on Apple TV over another app? We’re trying to play music over the Georgia-Michigan game but it doesn’t seem to be able to handle it.

I started this thread on Apple Communities back in late October and was wondering if anyone else here was experiencing the same issue after upgrading to Monterey? It's got about 1,500 views and a pretty steady stream of replies, so i'm guessing some here as well.

Since the update to Monterey I've been experiencing some weird behavior when adding songs to a playlist (or editing info of a song/album, moving song(s) within a playlist... any change, really). It seems as soon as Apple Music is done making changes, it just randomly decides to jump to a different spot in my current view.

Example: In the Library - Songs view, I went to an album by the artist "Dave". I selected the 12 songs from the album, two-finger click, Add to Last Playlist, and the Songs view jumps down to Jeezy. Do the same thing for a Turnstile album and it jumps down to Various Artists.

I have the same bug. Annoying as hell.

 

Does anybody use Apple Music and AirPlay to Sonos? Every time I have lately the volume slider is broken. Been like this for at least the past two iOS versions. You go to increase/decrease with slider and it just forces the volume to zero and breaks the slider (until you use the volume buttons)

 

I do sometimes, usually when I'm going from listening to something in my office to the Sonos system upstairs, but there always seems to be some issue with it. I haven't had the volume one, but often it won't connect to one or more of my speakers, or songs stop randomly in the middle.

 

This has been really frustrating with my airplay devices. For me it’s just inconsistent or will only change the volume on one device.

 

I haven't had this exact problem, but I find that the volume buttons on my phone sometimes don't do anything for me and I need to go into the app to use the slider there.

 

Not quite the same but I do see an issue when I’m AirPlaying to two speakers and queueing a song makes a weird stutter/break in playback. Minor but frustrating.

Yeah super annoying, the fact it resolves itself sometimes when I push the physical volume button is just baffling too.

Haha, this is the reverse of my problem! So also annoying!

I really hope they redo/fix a lot of Apple Music issues this year. I use both AM and Spotify and if it wasn’t for much nicer lyrics and library management, I’d probably be all in on Spotify. Saying that Spotify have made awful AppleTV and Watch apps. Can’t win!

I’m aware these are all such first world problems but still!

Playing around with making a Widgy that shows my Top 9 from Last.fm. First pass looks pretty good imo.

It does! I’ll write up more about it when I clean it all up, last night I just wrote the code for it real fast to see if it would work.

 

I just bought some airpods pro, do you recommend a case? and foam tips?

 

anybody else accidentally airdrop things to people?

the contact will pop up under my thumb as im about to press something else. really not cool.

anyway got a way to help me fix this?

 

airdrop settings seems to be only for recieving

 

I got a case for mine just so I can keep them on my keychain. I also use foam tips because the stock tips aren't comfortable for me and don't stay in my ears well.

 

My new MBP just shipped! Very excited to upgrade my 2015 MBP. Now to check Fedex 4 times a day for the next week.
