They're really nice. And I'm already enjoying revisiting random songs.

Just got an iPhone 13 Pro and a Series 6 Apple Watch

Went from an iPhone X. This is a big upgrade!

 

So I'm having a hard time with my SD card on my new MBP. The Photos app is not reading any of the photos on the card and isn't importing them. It sees the card, and I have the option to import, it just won't do it (it also doesn't load any of the pictures in the app). I know the card is fine because when I navigate to the folder where the photos are located I can just copy/paste them to my computer, so it seems to be a Photos app issue? It's a SanDisk Extreme Pro and the card is formatted correctly as ExFAT

 

Bought a new MBA base, but with 16GB of RAM... two weeks for expected delivery time. Shipped from God knows where in China today. At least it came with a $100 apple gift card.

 

Sorry for the late reply, Photos App is HORRIBLE for importing right off SD.

 

Since I made this post it seems to be working except for loading the image preview prior to import, but it will import. I never had any issues importing to Photos app on my 2015 iMac so I was just curious if it was something with the M1 chips. It's was no big deal if it wasn't working at all since there is a few workarounds lol

 

Also bought one for my partner today. She’s over the moon.

 

I think the answer is no, but I figured I'd ask anyways lol. I want to set a Focus on JUST my MBP while I'm working so I don't get the notifications on it, but I will still get them on my phone/watch. I see there's the option to turn off "Share Across Devices" but that seems to be an all-or-nothing for all my focuses. Is there a way to have the Focus just on my MBP while still allowing notifications for other devices?

 

had nothing but issues with this 14" MBP since I bought it. 35% battery life lost over 3 hours on *idle* without the screen on is just the tip of the fucking iceberg.

my AirPod pros randomly started today change its name to random numbers/letters (its like s23CM)ZV or something). I'll change it back to the normal name, but then it will revert back to that random one a little later. its bizarre

 

Does anyone know why my laptop still occasionally goes into sleep mode with the lid shut even when I have "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off" checked off? My Plex server just randomly goes down after a few hours. Very frustrating.

 

Ah ok, so it's not the laptop that goes to sleep, but the wifi itself disconnects after awhile once the lid is closed. Anyone know a workaround?

 

Anyone have any idea why a particular PDF would open fine on my phone and MacBook but not on iPad? When I click it the viewer is dark as if it’s loading but then just starts flashing and I get an error. Fwiw it came from a zip file.

 

open up terminal and run caffeinate

until that process is running your computer won't even as much as blink, no less sleep haha (or just download one of the gazillion menu bar apps that do the same thing. I don't know their names because I use caffeinate like the boomer that I am.)

 

@Jason Tate when are you going to make a deal with apple where notifications pop up on our phone/watch from Chorus?! Haha! Actually have you ever thought about an App?

 

I've reached the level of annoyance with my M1X 14" that I decided to downgrade to an M1 Pro which is more than enough for what butters my bread anyway. I know it's just me being stuck with a lemon but it annoyed me too much to enjoy it at this point.

 

Wow, I've been curious to check out new MBPs and I'm shocked the 16" is over $1000 more than the 13"
