Anyone know how to do this now with a macbook? Her iPhone also has no home button.

So I saw that, and when I try to do the reset the way it says, it starts to count up 1 through 5 in the emergency slider area and I feel like its going to signal emergency services....

    EDIT :Nvm figured it out

Is there any Apple users on here that are pretty full in on HomeKit like me? I’m starting to get a bit disgruntled at the support for products and general roll out.

I’ve been in the market for a smart doorbell for a while and I was very much interested in the Logitech Circle with its HKSV support but the issues it has had is very off putting. I almost pulled the trigger last night but the amount of overheating issues online put me off. I’ve ended up pulling the trigger on Netatmo’s and whilst it doesn’t yet offer HKSV (supposed to be coming in an update) I’m sure it will be more stable than Logitech’s.

Yeah the black on black is definitely a nice improvement around the keyboard.

Got the AirPods 3 a few days ago. I was nervous as they're similarly shaped to the notorious Pro's that hurt my ears so bad I had to return them the second day.

Low and behold, these hurt my ears in a similar manner. Granted the Pros hurt my ears within 10 min of use, it took about a day for these to really start causing problems. Now they start hurting the instant I put them in my ears.

It really sucks knowing your ears are incompatible with the redesign of the most popular earbuds on the planet, and this design will be around for at least 3-4 years. It's a first-world problem I know LOL. I'm going to continue attempting to wear these to see if my ears get used to them. I have 12 more days left on my return. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really hope Apple figures out how to get custom-fit AirPods created in the next 5-10 years.

Anyone have suggestions for this situation?

I just started a job where I will be in contact with people from my job on their personal phones/work phones. I tried creating one contact with putting each number under one contact name. I have different message threads as “personal”and one being “work”. But it seems it wants to create a single message thread. Is the only way to fix this doing “xyz name personal#” and then “xyz name work #”?

On Thursday, Apple announced results for its fourth financial quarter of 2021, covering July through September. The company generated $83.4 billion in revenue. (The previous two fiscal fourth quarters showed very low growth over the previous year, so this year’s 29% increase in revenue year-over-year is especially impressive.)

thanks for posting this. It’s actually really hard for me to find any sort of forum post anywhere where people talked about this issue. Even just one or two people saying they hurt and it got better at least gives me some hope.

AirPods 3 work for me, whereas AirPods Pro do not (ear pain, etc). I'm so happy.

So per usual i couldn’t help myself and got the 14 inch.

    few quick notes:
-accidentally ordered silver. Do not regret it. It’s so bright it almost looks white.
    - it’s the most beautiful piece of tech I’ve ever seen
    - the screen is brighter at half brightness than every screen I’ve ever owned at max brightness
    - keys are way clickier than on my MBA
    - it’s thickness has been way overstated
    - it’s weight has been understated
    - apple’s marketing did. this computer dirty imo, it looks magnitudes better IRL.
    - what notch?

edit: All This And War sounds great on these speakers too.

turns out one of the known downsides of Mini LED is your display looks like it has an inner drop shadow on it.
I'm.... annoyed to say the least.

exactly like this (not my picture) source, apparently the Pro XDR display has this too, and even worse than my MBP.

I am once again calling for a true OLED MacBook Pro.

Damn, yeah that looks very noticeable on white.

OLED would be awesome but burn-in could be a risk long term? I’ve been wanting an OLED monitor for ages but there’s far and few between currently on the market that ticks all the boxes. USB-C is a must for me with the convenience of charging and display through one cable.

I mean I have been staring deep into Logic (sick new Design btw) today and obviously I didn't notice the shadowing in the edges, it's just a disappointing factoid at this point. (obviously if you run dark mode all the time -- which I don't -- it's a non-issue).

That said Logic on the new MBP is ultra fucked and my sound keeps cutting out after 10 minutes of work until I manually re-start CoreAudio. It was even worse on the previous version (I was running 10.6.1 before this). This was not a problem on my M1 Air. Curious to say the least.

re: OLED, I mean if there were suitable OLED panels for computers, they would've already made some, leaving me to think that mini LED is the best we can get right now. Lot of people use the 48" LG C-Series as their monitor but I find that prohibitively large (and without the USB C thing, which i agree is too sick to miss)

also I just want to say, to use this display at max brightness merely passes as a joke, it is untenable for longer than minutes at a time.
