People who want the thin appeal should definitely wait for the new Air if the rumours are to be true.

  4. Yep, or just buy the current Air.

The current air is a beast.

it’s making me second guess my pro order every day. There’s nothing it can’t do, including emulating Metroid prime hahaha

@Jason Tate after just reading your weekly newsletter, I 100% agree with your views on Apple needing to make a more 'budget' monitor. Their XDR display is incredible but at over 5k with no stand is extortionate. I would love for them to make something more accessible.

can or can't do? I'm in need of a laptop next year while abroad and was wondering if it'd be good enough for PS use.

Whoops! Can’t. Haha. It’s extremely powerful imo.

The new MBP is thin enough for me, I've used Windows laptops new and old that don't stack up to it so many ways (not just the obvious horsepower type of stats.) I'm sure the form factor Apple always has will make it fit smoothly in a bag (unlike every Windows laptop I've had which is angular nonsense.)

The only good thing on Windows laptops is touchscreens... can't tell you how many times I'd come home from work and try to touch my iMac/laptop screen thinking it's also a touchscreen just because of how useful it is.

  14. Got the 7 in green and I wish it was a little less dark green and closer to the promo images. It’s not too far off from midnight :-/

Windows laptops are fine - it's just a matter of preference. My HP Elitebook at work hasn't had any issues in the 3+ years I owned it, and Windows 10 is a massive improvement over 8. But... I wanted a Mac and convinced my boss anyways since my warranty was up on the HP lol

I’d shoot anyone who would even attempt to touch my screen including myself.

One of the first things I did with my new MacBook was touch the screen because I was so used to it before haha

are you guys like... young? maybe it's because up until the iPhone, touchscreens just weren't part of my life so for me that's the aberration. I've always been a mouse/touchpad and keyboard guy and I have the carpal tunnel syndrome to show for it ;)

also, fuck raising my arm any higher than I have to lol

I’m the same haha. The OG iPhone was my first flirt with touch screen devices. Prior to that it was keyboard and mouse all the way so I was pretty blown away when I got my first OG iPhone.

I also have no desire to see a MacBook with touch screen capabilities. Just one finger print on my screen bugs the hell out of me haha.

My parents (58 and 61) always try to touch the screen on my MacBook Pro when I’m showing them something on it, so I don’t think it’s an age thing. I personally don’t feel the slightest need to have a touchscreen laptop, but it’s not just Gen Z kids who want/expect them.

My current work laptop, until I get my MacBook ;), is a Dell 2-in-1 touchscreen and the touchscreen is just utterly useless. Never find myself using it, ever

Haha okay, no, I’d qualify that as me being wrong-ish about your age explaining your longing for a Mac with a touchscreen ;)

35, almost 36. Army recruiting command provides brand new Dell laptops with touchscreens so I was used that for the last 4 years (until I finally, thankfully left that hell hole of an assignment).

Never had a touchscreen device until I got a new iPhone 4S in Korea back in 2011.
