Hey, should spatial audio work on any Bluetooth set, or just airpods? Apple's website says it should work on any Android phone that has Dolby Atmos enabled, but that seems to be untrue. Anything in the Spatial Audio playlist just says "Dolby Atmos" under the song playing, and no noticeable difference when moving my head left and right

 

Also, I got my fiance airpods pros for her birthday and they're amazing! The fit is much better than my Galaxy Buds and the ANC is just as good as my Sony XM3s. Very impressive.

 

Apple Watch Series 7 preorders start this Friday with shipping the week after.

Very tempted this year.

Earlier today, we reported that new firmware versions are gradually rolling out for Apple’s wireless headphone products. This new software enables Find My support for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, which Apple first teased back in June at WWDC.

This means that the compatible AirPods models gain new functionality inside of the Find My app, including precise location, a new Nearby Finding UI, Lost Mode, and the ability to get notifications when your earbuds are left behind.

In order to take advantage of these new features, you’ll first need to update your AirPods to the just-released firmware. Getting AirPods to update immediately is a somewhat mercurial process that involves placing your charged AirPods in their case near a connected phone, and then hoping that the software update is transferred. Most AirPods customers simply receive new firmware updates passively over time, in the course of use.

 

Upgraded from an 11 to a 13 pro and this is a massive improvement.

Still quite a few unknowns regarding the Series 7 tomorrow. Possibly one of Apple’s strangest launches in recent memory.

I really enjoyed how simple the iPhone 13 Pro preorder was this year with only having to hit the purchase button when the time came. I was hoping that was going to be the new norm going forward but I guess it will be a rush to see if I’ll splurge tomorrow.

Full specs, pricing, Apple Watch Studio with the Series 7 and trade-in values of the Series 6.

It launches at 13:00 here in the U.K. so I can only preorder on my lunch so I have limited time haha.

 

I think the pricing will be similar to what the series 6 pricing was - apple usually releases the updated trade in pricing on the day of pre-order (it’s done that with the phones for years) , Apple Watch studio will be similar to how it was the prior years

I am interested in the complete tech specs tho

 

Finally got my 13 Mini last night and whoa I'm already in love with the size.
Side note: the Apple Silicone cases feel way better this year than they did previous years. This might be the first time that I actually really like the silicone case.

If you're a gamer and have any old peripherals, consoles, or games that you no longer want, Gamestop's trade values are insanely good right now, at least through tomorrow. I'm usually very anti-Gamestop, but I've managed to bring in $1,041 in the last two days by trading in a PS4 Pro, old Xbox 360 controllers, and a bunch of selective Wii, 360, and Nintendo DS games. You need to be a Pro Member ($15 per year) to take advantage of all the bonuses.

I bring this up because Gamestop sells Apple Gift Cards in store, and you can use the credit you earn to turn around and buy Apple cards. I've gotten myself $1,000 in Apple Gift Cards in the last two days to put toward a new MacBook Pro, all for stuff that was mostly just sitting in my closet untouched for years.

Not my intent, just know that shit is expensive and a lot of people probably have temporary gold mines sitting around that they wouldn't mind parting with.

Didn’t realize this came out and was surprised yesterday when I got a notification that my AirPods were left behind when I ran to the store on my lunch break at work lol. Nice new feature for sure.

 

That happened to me yesterday and it said I left them in a restaurant I was delivering to like 15 minutes earlier. Had a mild heart attack before I realized they were actually in my pocket.

 

Jason’s newsletter from weeks ago that mentioned Marvis and then linked to his post about his Home Screen sent me down a long and not inexpensive rabbit hole of iOS customization. And now, finally, I am happy with my Home Screen.
