Actually, this is the first time in a very long time I have set a phone up as new and not just restored from a backup, so it’s possible it’s just doing a lot more than I’ve been used to.

 

My phone has been cold to touch for 2 days so it’s def not “normal”

I’m really high so please bear with me I’m saying monitor the temp and if it keeps being warm get it exchanged.

 

have you gotten a temperature warning on it yet or a thermal shut down?

 

Nah, nothing like that yet.

 

I’m on a Pro Max, and losing about 10% every 30 minutes of use. Lol.

So I've never used iCloud photos before so bear with me if this all sounds really dumb lol. I've got it turned on for both my Mac and phone, I can see in the progress meter that they're both starting to back up to iCloud, and when I log in on iCloud.com I can see that some photos are starting to show up from the two different devices. Aren't I supposed to be able to see the different libraries on each device? Like my Mac library is completely different from the library I have on my phone and vice/versa. Is it supposed to create another folder it each device's photo library called "iCloud" or something? Maybe I won't see anything until it's done uploading all of the photos?

 

And you set it up as new? Return that shit

 

If they are under the same Apple ID they are probably syncing to the same library now

 

They are under the same Apple ID but nothing has synced to either my phone or Mac yet. It’s still as if they’re 2 separate libraries. I can see them on iCloud in the browser though..

 

If you have a lot of photos, it’ll take a bit.

 

Anyone else having an issue with safari on iOS 15 where when you launch it and tap the url bar to make a new search it’ll jump back and just reload the page it had up? Seems to happen every time I open the app

 

I‘ve been on the beta since day 1 and the new tabs aren’t bad imo, also you can change back to the classic view, which while ugly, is the same functionality as safari 14.

This is kind of like saying don’t upgrade to iOS 15 because the bar in safari is at the bottom. You can change that back too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

So they’re all still uploading to iCloud, have about 70gb of photos on my Mac and 10gb on my phone. They’re still not merging together on either photo library. I get it’s going to take a while for everything to upload, but shouldn’t I start to see the two libraries get mixed together? Or that won’t happen until EVERYTHING is done uploading?

Doing it via the upgrade plan. Do I bother with a case and screen protector?

 

15 has been fine for me

 

I still hate that there’s no discernible way to completely clear notifications as they come through, but otherwise 15 has been fine for me.

Just fyi the libraries did all finally sync together once I unpaused the uploads on my phone and they finished uploading. The process just seemed kind of... clunky? Idk what I was expecting I just figured as a photo was uploaded successfully it would start to show up in the synced library but it really does have to wait until everything is finished lol. There's nothing that indicated that would be the case so I was paranoid the entire time that something wasn't right

 

When a banner notification comes through at the top of screen while using your phone, you used to be able to pull down on it and tap the X to get rid of it, so it wouldn’t be in the notification centre. There doesn’t appear to be any way to completely clear them now. I can either tap on it to open it which gets rid of it, or swipe it away which sends it to the notification centre. That’s fine for some, but I get plenty of sports ones etc that I don’t need to see again and don’t want to have to manually clear. Seems like silly functionality to get rid of.
