My wife accidentally told me her mom got me a regular HomePod for Christmas and I’m getting it today and I am irrationally excited.

Edit: Does the regular one do the intercom mode or whatever too or is that only in the minis? If so I might end up getting a set of those too, seems too good of a way to mess with my wife to pass up lol.

It was actually a mini not a full one which I am more excited for so now I can get another one and set up a pair.

What things transfer to your new iPhone if you do the transfer over wifi feature? Do contacts/pictures/notes all transfer through WiFi?

 

Yep you transfer the whole phone.

Having moved over from a 2015 MacBook Pro, the charger plug is different. Old one had like wee hooks to wrap cable round, which I loved. New USB-c plug doesn't have them :(

is there any noticeable difference that makes the homepod worth the extra $100 over the mini

 

Has more tweeters - it’s definitely better sounding but the mini sounds great for its price

 

I am using the last pass extension for safari and it is honking. Not saving any of my passwords when I edit them.

 

Love everything about the mini so far. Does the MagSafe charger kind of suck for everyone else? Feel like it barely charges my phone

 

My kids have absolutely killed our 5th gen iPad's battery to the point where a 100% charge lasts maybe 2-3 hours, so looking to get the new air version, especially since the front-facing camera has such a better resolution (important since we FT our family daily)... anyone liking theirs?

 

Gave into the hype and picked up a HomePod mini at work today. Probably won’t be able to mess with it til Monday though

Got an iPad Air for Christmas. Lost my mini 2 a few months back.. battery was going out as well.

this thing is amazing. Ordered an Apple Pencil for my bday next Sunday. The form factor is so nice.
