I think I'm going to wait on Big Sur for a few months at least. Let bugs get figured out. I need my audio software to keep working too.

 

This wait is killing me. Gimme my phooooone.

 

I’ve been running the Bug Sur beta for a little bit and it’s been fine, but I imagine if your Mac is a workhorse with a ton of 3rd party stuff (like a DAW) you may want to wait until early next year until everybody has a good update out.

 

Does anyone know how to block an artist entirely on Apple Music?

 

Big Sur beta has been smooth. Downloading the public release now.

 

I’m pretty sure you can tell Siri to not play that artist/band anymore and they won’t appear in any playlists. I highly doubt you can block the artist page.

Download has been an issue for me. After many errors the only way I’ve got round it is to download and install the beta and then download the public release. Wild.

So I got one Verizon iPhone and one Simless iPhone. Is there any reason I NEED to go to Verizon or is one ready to go and one just needs a sim swap?

 

Your SIM-free one will just need the current SIM being used inserted. The Verizon one will come with a Verizon SIM already installed that will activate on that line during setup.

 

Don't 5G phones need a new sim card though? Similar to how Verizon needed a new one when LTE came out?

 

They need a new sim to access 5G yes - the current sim will still work but just on lte

 

Is that a Verizon specific thing? My mom didn’t need a new SIM to access 5G on AT&T.

 

Did she buy it unlocked or through ATT? If she upgraded through att the 12 came with a 5G sim already and her number was just transferred to that one

you only need to get a 5G sim from your carrier if you bought a sim-free device
