If I had to get a new MacBook Pro, it would definitely be the 16" model. I do a lot of coding with some design so the more screen space is important.

I'd recommend anyone looking to purchase a new MacBook to wait till the event in November. Most models are apparently due a refresh.

 

just MacBook 12" and iMac if I am not mistaken, with the 13" Pro or Air as a wildcard.

I'm def in the market for one.

 

My 2015 MacBook Pro is still going strong (knock on wood). If they do come out with an iMac update following the new iPad/iPhone design, I may think seriously about going for that and using my iPad for mobile computing, since I do that primarily now anyways.

Downloaded the dark knight in 4k to my phone is about 2 minutes - a 2gb file - not bad

 

I sell computers and I will say that right now everyone is buying additional monitors for their laptops. But again you don’t necessarily need hdmi for that and of course there’s adapters.

 

Yeah, I literally plug my laptop into a monitor every day, and dual monitors are very popular setups heh.

 

do y’all think we can expect Black Friday deals for iPad peripherals like the magic keyboard or pencil?

 

As a first timer Apple Watch buyer, is the series 6 worth the price difference from the SE? I need a new watch since mine got left in a cabin while we were on vacation.

what’s the difference between gens for the keyboard? is it the same design with the trackpad?

 

mine does not have a trackpad - it's the 2019 version

so I think it's a second or third gen

 

I think the only real practical difference is the SE lacks ECG and spO2, which I think are really only useful for people that know they need them (and who are thus probably already on top of their health). I admittedly got the 6 for the spO2 tracking (I have lung disease), but I think health tracking has really been oversold, especially for things as esoteric as spO2 and ECGs...

Thank you for responding. I think since this is my first Apple Watch I’m going to go with the SE and use my Apple Card and pay it off over the year. Can’t really complain about $12 a month basically.
