  1. I thought the free  tv year was only if you bought FROM apple. Yesterday I got an email to activate my free year. Only thing I bought was my wife’s 11 pro from T-Mobile a month ago and I replaced my new XS screen at the  store the day before I got the email since my wife had scratched it and got nail polish on it. That was only $29 using  care. Did I find a loop hole to get  tv for a year for $29 or did I get the email SUPER late even though I bought the phone from T-Mobile?

It's if you buy the device from anywhere. I bought the 11 Pro Max on Black Friday from Target and I got the free year of Apple TV+

  4. Haha. I set it up as an auto-replace text because I though “how often do I type “apple?” Oops.
    Ah. Makes sense!

So I have finally been using the Brydge keyboard for my iPad Pro, and it’s terrific in my experience. Super intrigued by the trackpad version now that’ll be coming out in 2020.

  6. Wife surprised me with AirPods Pros tonight. I’m uh..in love.

  9. First time really using the pros this morning and I found they are a fair bit more uncomfortable than regular AirPods.

Only really bothersome when smiling or laughing at a podcast though.

I could see the multiple lenses being useful for AR apps.

Upgrading my X to an 11 Pro! I can’t wait to mess with it tomorrow.

realized last weekend that my airpods (first gen) are consistently going from 100% battery to about 20/25% in about 40 minutes to an hour, which isnt too big of an issue currently but, the upgrade is in my future for sure.

Same, I just rode my bike for like 30 minutes and they were already about to die. I was considering the pros but I my just go for the second gen since I just upgrade my phone.

Smart TV apps aren’t as bad as some make them out to be, depending on the brand of TV, but there’s no comparison to a robust ecosystem of invested developers. My Apple TV is my only media/TV box, and it does everything I could possibly want.

i guess i don’t entirely understand the benefit. having more streamlined apps and interfaces seems like a relatively small potatoes benefit vs getting a surround sound bar that pairs with my two directional speakers. what am i missing?

  24. it's mainly the complete ecosystem that tvOS gives you - you can link up all your subscriptions/movies/sports/etc into the Apple TV app for amazing organization and reminders for what's next. I also have the sound bar and it's fucking awesome too haha it's truly a tough choice.

I've had every generation of the Apple TV now for over a decade and it's one of the few Apple products I can't live without - just being an organization/neat freak that I am haha.

If you are happy with how you currently access your media, I'd go for the Sonos Bar. Especially if you have 2 other Sono's Speakers to pair with it.

I have the Beam, 2 x Play 1's and a 4K ATV, which I love. If I had to choose though, I'd go for the sound setup and get the ATV later. (If you're all in on Apple devices, the TV is a nice addition to the ecosystem)
