After two weeks with it, it’s not quite as slippery as it was, but it’s still a bit slippery. Useable though.

 

One of the most interesting bugs I’ve ever seen: I was on an SI article and there were tweets linked on the page. And every single one was spinning around with the axis of rotation being the profile icon lol. I tried to post a screen recording but it wouldn’t let me but here’s a screenshot

 

I would have laughed so much if it happened to me

 

I think it was a bug with Tweetbot when the link was opened within the app, it was fine when I viewed it in Safari

 

Catalina is out

 

Think I'm gonna wait for a point release.

 

All I want is for my phone to be delivered. Estimated ship date of 10/16 which I hope is extremely conservative

 

Getting my phone today like four days earlier than Apple estimated I’d get it, gonna be stressful trying not to drop it until my case gets here Wednesday lol

 

While I did buy a case for my Pro, I've enjoyed not actually using it.

 

Spotify Gains Siri Support on iOS 13 and CarPlay, Apple TV App Launching Later Today

This is great as a Spotify user. Wish apple would give you a way to let you choose default apps vs 3rd party apps out of the box

 

I was trying out using light mode during the day, dark at night but I finally decided to go dark all the time. I kept finding myself wishing it was evening sooner so everything would switch

 

I ended up moving my schedule to 7am - 6pm so it would switch over a little early too.

I’m trying out the sunset switcher for dark mode. I hate not having all apps switch automatically but now that Instagram will do it, I’m gonna try dark mode out more.

i'm not super loving the hard/siliconey feel of the clear case, it gets slippery and super smudgey - might opt for another leather case.

 

using the iPad as a second screen thanks to Catalina is incredible. going to be super handy on edit jobs to have all my media bins and effects off screen

 

Catalina is solid beyond my wildest expectations. wow.

 

Got a little laptop style keyboard case from iEGrow on Amazon the other day for my iPad 9.7 while it was on sale because it’s always peaked my interest, and so far so good with this thing. For $30 I couldn’t say no. The keyboard for how small it is, I really enjoy. The build quality of the case where the iPad actually sits definitely is not meant for it to be taken out a bunch of times, but thankfully I don’t plan on doing that. The keys are also backlit which is super nice. I know this thing will probably only last me like 6 months and it’ll break, but so far I’m happy with it!
