Had every intention of holding my X until the supposed bigger changes and 5g next year but w/ those trade ins.... see you Friday morning

 

will definitely upgrade before the holidays, wife and I arent on our own plan yet, still leeching off our old family plans, but as soon as I see a holiday deal like "buy one get one free with a new plan" we're jumping on

 

Went through the preapproval process using the Apple Store app, pretty painless. Preapproved and ready for my phone on Friday.

Going 256 space grey 11 pro. (and a black leather case)

 

debating between the exact same but pro or pro max. i like the extra size but idk.

 

Almost went for the bigger GB size and then realized I only have used like 80gb on my current phone.

Agreed. My iPad Pro is 256 too. I have 226 available on it right now.

(I did just delete all the media I had synched from over the weekend off Plex.)

Trying to decide if I want to give the bigger screen a try or not. Will probably go to the Apple store and check out the current XS max. Does it feel awkward to hold?

I had a 6s Plus, which was roughly the same footprint of the Pro Max. I loved it when I was at home on the couch or in bed, the screen real estate was great, but I wasn’t a fan of using a phone that big on the go, and the device felt like too much in my pocket.

The 6.1” 11/XR is the sweet spot for me.

 

Pretty underwhelming upgrades imo but that was to be expected this year. If my XS Max didn’t have a fault I’d probably sit out this upgrade cycle in anticipation of 2020, thankfully the trade in offer is good to offset some of the pain of the exchange rate. Definitely dropping back to the smaller size this time, sick of my phone trying falling out of my jeans pocket - 11 Pro midnight green 256gb the go.

Also, why are tech journalists so obsessed with the headphone jack or lack thereof? I feel like every else has completely moved past this.
