Really wish there was a 'sport' edition for the AirPods. Water resistance, better battery life, track/volume control, and better/durable fit. I recently got a pair and dammit, i want to love them but they just dont do it for my runs. If i'm traveling or just chilling then they're cool, but I need something more reliable during runs. I wish AirPods clashed with the Jaybird Runs. That type of model would be killer.

 

For running my favorite headphones have been YourBuds. So a ear wraparound would be nice if bluetooth technology is a must

Looking at replacing my mid-2013 MBA; do I go for a Pro or the new Air?

 

Depends on your needs. Do you use the Adobe Suite at all or video edit? If so I’d recommend the Pro 100%.

 

I want that new iPad Pro 11” so bad. I love the form factor and my iPad mini 2 is great, but it’s age is starting to show.

Really interested in the AirPods 2.. love my AirPods.

I almost got the 12.9 but I figured that would be redundant since I have a 13” touch bar

 

11” is big enough, you’d say? My buddy has the previous years Pro at 12.. it just seems too big for me.

I went with the 11". To me it's big enough and way more comfortable to hold. With the 12.9", if you're going to buy a keyboard and prop it up on a desk and that's how you always use it then I could see that working out. But as someone who mainly holds their ipad while lying on the couch, the 12.9" just wasn't nearly as comfortable to use.

Doesn't even need to be on the space bar. You can hold anywhere on the keyboard.

 

Gotta hold down keyboard to activate, but ya, once it goes into the navigation control, the whole keyboard is available...I believe on newer iPhone models, you can press harder to highlight.

 

Battery life on the 12.9” has been amazing - got it on release day, topped off the out-of-the-box charge and haven’t had to charge it again until tonight. That’s with YouTube every night, streaming live sports, and a lot of reading.

 

The customizable keyboard shortcuts would be incredible. That I definitely agree with. Same with command + tap to open in a new tab in Safari, you can use two fingers, but it is clumsy.

I’d add: A better way to dismiss something. No ESC key hurts here.

Being able to remap keys. I don’t need the capslock key, would love to be able to remap that.

Keyboard shortcut for the multitasking view and for command center. Both would be helpful.

(Long shots: universal keyboard shortcuts. I miss CMD+SHIFT+O and being able to add stuff to Things. Miss Alfred a lot as well. If I could better get to the “search web” portion of spotlight, that would fix a lot, but it’s so far down there.)

 

I’m really surprised at how many people didn’t know about the texting trackpad feature. I love 3D Touch.

I feel like an idiot. I had no clue until now that gesture navigation was a thing on older iPads as well, and same as iPhone, it feels absolutely fluid and natural.

 

this is such a bullshit hot take. so because I don't spend my work hours in "pro apps" that must mean I'm not doing meaningful, impactful work?? kick rocks Tom, I'm so over The Verge.
