Definitely. I brought mine into Best Buy to have the hard drive swapped out.

 

Didn't know that. Always thought Macs or Apple Products had to be brought into Apple stores to fix/test things.

Still desperately awaiting either a Maps upgrade or the ability to use Google Maps on Carplay

 

Third party mapping apps are coming to CarPlay with iOS 12, if I remember right from the keynote.

 

I look forward to giving apple maps another try but i cant imagine not using google maps

 

Apple maps still doesn’t have a restaurant near me that’s been open for over a year. Can’t wait for google maps on CarPlay

That would mean google would have to update their app to work with CarPlay during the beta. Hard to say.

 

Google Maps will probably be updated for CarPlay around the time iOS 12 is officially released, so around mid-Septemver I'd say.

 

Has anyone done the iPhone upgrade program through Apple directly? Currently have an 8 plus through Verizon but looking to pay the rest it off before the new phones are announced in September and then get the new whatever X through Apple directly. Not sure if I should just do it through Verizon or switch to the Apple thing. I’ve never gotten a phone right at launch so just trying to weigh my options.

 

I went from the 6 to the X this past November directly through Apple.

Ugh i just lost my AirPod case.. I remember where i last had it and i can’t figure out where the hell they have gone. I guess I’m gonna have to shell out $69 bucks for a new one.

 

I just put my AirPods (headphones only) through the wash tonight. :(

I’m pretty sure the AirPods can survive the wash, but not the case. So you may be in luck @Drewski

I just wish the case wasn’t so expensive to replace! I need to get one of those Tiles to stick on it when i get a new one so i can keep track of it.
