1st gen is considered Series 0. Series 1 was released to replace gen 1 at the same time as Series 2. Series 1 is basically Series 0 with the Series 2 processor.

if thats the case i will certainly upgrade when series 4 comes out but i'm not getting the stainless steel one again, i just can't justify dropping $700 every 2.5 years when these watches become "obsolete". $400 seems a little more reasonable but, it still sucks honestly.

 

So...I work in Facebook advertising. And this freaked me out at first because Safari is HUGE for Mobile traffic. But the way I understand it, Facebook and Google are fine. It'll allow Pixels to fire when it is a site you have previously visited in the last 24 hours. So for Facebook and Google, since people touch their properties so much, it's going to be a pretty minimal disruption. For services like Criteo, who's stock PLUMMETED as soon as this was announced it is a big deal.

 

It's sweet that ios12 will improve performance on older phones.

Definitly. I’ve had my 6 Plus since launch day and I don’t plan on getting a new phone until SE 2 is released. After getting a new battery my phone still works great but I wouldn’t mind an OS that helps it. I’m actually pretty impressed with how good my phone is after nearly 4 years.

The iOS 12 beta is really stable

 

As someone who has an Iphone X and has used animojis a total of maybe 2 times, I really wish Apple would focus on about 100 other things before sinking so much effort into animojis.

 

I guarantee you Apple is focusing on those 100 things - there are hundreds of different teams in Cupertino that work on iOS stuff

Haha yes I'm aware of how large Apple is. Just seems like sometimes they care more about adding shit like "tongue detection" for animojis than improving siri or a host of other things that could/should be better on IOS.

 

I just think things that are outward facing appear to get more work than things we never see.

Soooooo now that series 0 is no longer upgradeable I wanna upgrade my watch. Rumor has it there will be a design refresh this year and my 0 will still function just not on watch OS 5. I know I SHOULD wait but I could also get the Nike Series 3 LTE for $0 down and $18/month from T-Mobile. My will power is only so strong...

 

My guess is we see series 4 in time for holidays, if not 1st Q 2019 - so i definitely will wait it out and enjoy new ios and macOS in the mean time haha
