Were you always able to stream something via Airplay and use other apps on the device (in my case the X) at the same time or is that new with the newest iOS? Because I could have sworn that you couldn't ever do that before.

Apple Music Embeddable Web Player Widget Updated to Let Subscribers Sign in and Play Full Tracks, Albums, and Playlists

If this means a full Apple Music web player is coming, similar to Spotify, then that will be sweeeet.

are we even expecting any new phones? would this be the first year (in a while) where we don't get new phones at WWDC? or do the phones usually come in the August/late summer events?

Phones are mostly announced in the early September event. WWDC is mostly software.

 

I thought they were going to announce a new "SE" model which would be sweet. I actually might go this route for my next phone.

 

This would be the type of event where an updated SE is announced, but I doubt any hardware is coming. They always deliver a surprise or two though...

 

I read they are already working on debuting a cheaper HomePod variant, and it will be Beats-branded. Saw a $199 price point in one article. Not sure if that announcement will be today though.

 

The AirPower and wireless Airpods case have to be reintroduced/released today, right?

 

Everything I have read points to today's presentation being completely hardware free, all software. Who really knows though right? lol

 

How do people here like the Airpods? Been on the fence for a while. Worried I'd lose them.

also, losing them is definitely a rational concern, but i've been pretty good about never having them anywhere but in my ears or in the case, and the case stays on my nightstand unless im travelling with them.

 

Love mine, they single handedly make my weekly trips to the grocery store infinitely better. Ehh losing them is of course a concern considering how small they are but knock on wood I'm almost a year into owning them with zero issues. I just make sure I'm consistent with how i store them. I always put them back in their case, and the case is always either in the 3rd little pocket of my jeans or on the desk by my front door.

 

My thought is if they announce a new pair, buy the older version at a discount.
