I don’t see the networks going for that - with the exception of Hulu and Netflix everything is moving towards each network having its own subscription based streaming platform.

 

I was expecting it to take longer but my 4K AppleTV from the DirecTV deal should be here by the end of the week!!

How do you do a serious deep clean to AirPods? I love them but the way earwax just gums them up no matter how often you clean your ears up is absolutely insane. It’s a serious design flaw they need to fix if there’s a 2.0 version.

Went for this today. Typically just use my parents cable login for everything, so definitely not going to keep it. The VOD stuff must stand for Video On Delay as well since most of the shows are one month behind.

 

Anyone else on the current 11.3 beta? I haven’t been able to post pics to Instagram or anywhere really from the camera roll. Only from the in-app cameras which has been a pain since I’ve been listing a ton of stuff from storage on offerup and FB Makretplace, et al. I’ve submitted a few feedback notes about it and gotten response from Apple but it seems like this may be an isolated incident :(

 

Hey guys, looking for some advice. I'm looking into getting my first Macbook (pretty amped about it).

Which would you recommend? Looking to stay under $1400.

Also, where would you say is the best place to go? Apple store or somewhere like Best Buy?

 

What are you looking to do with it?

 

Going back to school for a marketing degree. Using it for classes - photoshop, basic video editing, etc.

 

Buy from the refurbished store. You’ll get more bang for your buck and it has all the same warranties. You should be able to find something that goes the line of your budget and it’s under $2k so if you want, open a Barclay card with Apple to finance it and get some iTunes money out of it. Pay off the card if you’ve got the money and bing bang boom got yourself a nice laptop and some spending money

I’d personally go for the 15” if you can afford a few hundred dollars more. Factor in or subtract the touchbar and you’re looking at a difference of a couple hundred dollars there too.

I’m currently doing all my my work on an 11.6 inch MacBook Air with heavy design/marketing use, and its an older model, so anything should work for you.

debating going out tonight and upgrading to the X from the 7+. I hear they are going to release a + version of the X later this year, not sure if i even need a screen that big when i have an ipad....but it sounds sweet....but i also have the itch now for the new phone lol sigh

 

Ive been happy the the X. The home button seems so silly now. I try to use my mother in laws phone and keep bringing up the control center. The X is considerably heavier than her 6 though. The 6 feels like nothing in my hands compared.

I think I’m going to switch to the X from my 7 using the Apple upgrade program later this month. I’m not currently in the program but I’ve only heard good things.

 

ive had it for 3 hours and i love it more than ive loved any iphone ive had. once i stop trying to click the home button everything will be perfect haha

 

Been having keyboard issues, every so often it just goes completely non-responsive. Usually leads to me pounding on random keys until it comes back. 13" MBP purchased new from Apple in January 2017. I've kept up with all updates, etc, haven't dropped it or anything, no other reason to expect issues. Any ideas?

 

Touch bar Mac? Maybe dust under the keys or the butterfly mechanism broke

Yeah the newer MBP keyboards seem to be nothing but problems for a lot of people @thethingis

 

The family cut the cord today and went all in on the Apple TV/Direct TV Now deal thats happening. Though we have no intention of keeping Direct TV and just going with Playstation Vue. Very stoked about this.

 

Just got my first macbook. Any accessories you guys think are must haves? Was looking at the mouse, not sure if $75 is worth it though??
