Valid point, but retail bank locations are HUGE on skimming protection. In fact I had to take mini courses on what they look like, how they work, etc etc yearly. As part of our security procedures twice a day (which was the case for all 3 banks I worked for), ATM checks were required and logged. It's much much easier for those people to find a very busy gas station or convenience store to put one and potentially have hundreds of cards scanned before it's found, as opposed to maybe 10 people using the ATM at a branch location before it would be found in the morning.

When did I say I was flashing anything? It's not hard to see what somebody is working with at a counter if you're next in line. You're making it seem like someone needs to breathe down your neck for that. Plus, that's one example and I could give you a hundred scenarios for you to shoot down but I'm sure nobody wants to read that. And I'd say that someone only ever having two cards on them all the time is 10x's more abnormal than anything I said. But I commend you on it, I wish I only ever needed that much.

How much cash do you have for someone to see it? Fold up a twenty or two for emergencies and you’re good to go and no one can see it. Easy. It would take so many bills and the wallet would be visible in the pants! I have never seen any scenario where I see someone buy somethig and can make any guess on how much cash they have on them unless they’re paying with cash itself.

Didn’t say it wasn’t abnormal. It’s just way better and more people should do it. No one need the shit they think they do and carry around with them in giant wallets.

    :-p

100% agreed, and the cash thing really depends. I more often than not do my very best to not carry cash, but I also make tips at my part time job and that makes it vary as to how much I may have on me at any time.

Sometimes people pull out wallets at my job to make comparisons and they have like.....unnerving amounts of shit smashed into their wallet. Like, the leather is stretched to absurd shapes because they cram 4 cards into each slot and carry change inside the money slit. I'm like are you okay?!

It's been to the point where I wonder "how did you even get this in your pocket?" Then they want to look at our traditional style wallets and ask if they can transfer their stuff into one of ours to see if it'll "work." And then I watch, gritting my teeth.

Varies depending on the person. The majority of Secrid wallets sell for $89, though where I work the majority of the traditional leather styles we sell are made in the U.S. and go for anywhere from $100-$150.

I've been meaning to get a good quality wallet for a while but I just don't know if I can justify spending the kind of money they usually are lol
