Torn what to do with the X, my last phone was a 6s and at the time, I believe they would still let you buy it for $300 w/ 2-year agreement. I'm reluctant to buy an $1000 phone and want to replace it next version.

 

This is why the IUP or carrier installment plans are there from a customer standpoint, so that you can upgrade every year. I know not everybody needs or wants to do that, but it's an option. So a year from now you will have paid $500 for the iPhone X, trade it in and get the next version. Financially that doesn't sound as appealing as the old subsidized plans but those aren't a thing anymore, and those plans also took your freedom as a customer on top of your money.

 

my 6s has been better on ios 11 than 10 lol batterywise at least

 

My battery life has become a total wildcard on iOS 11. Sometimes it lasts all day, sometimes it's down to 10% from 100% before I leave the apartment in the morning, sometimes it dies at like 80% and when it reboots, it's down to like 5. I have resorted to bringing my portable battery everywhere, which is not ideal.

Iphone 6 has improved battery life with ios 11. It lasts all day every day.

 

I use my AirPods with my MB Pro on days that I work out of the office (use headphones when there) and it never fails that at some point during the day the audio will just cut out completely. iTunes/Apple Music doesn't pause, it shows the track as still playing, but no audio. Only solution I have found is having to disconnect manually from the bluetooth menu and then reconnecting. Not a huge deal, but it's slightly annoying.

 

Seems like a Bluetooth issue. Which I have seen lots of with MacOS. Hah.

I have tried searching for usernames on Apple Music but nothing pops up. It only works if I search for profiles I’m already following.

Still struggling to get hyped for the iPhone X. I think my biggest issue is the physical size of the device - after having a Plus, the thought of going back to a smaller handset (even with a larger screen) with less battery life feels like a retrograde step. I really love the look of the new Google Pixel XL but unfortunately I'm too wedded to my Apple Watch now to switch to Android.

 

Why not get the 8+?

 

I have a 7+ so there’s really no need to upgrade, I just want a phone with smaller/no bezels haha

I thought October 27th would never get here, and it still may not. I'm just fearing that 3am checkout page saying I have a January delivery date.

 

Yeah I stopped in to the Apple store this weekend to ask about the upgrade program process for the X and she ended the conversation by smiling and saying "good luck". So I'm not optimistic about getting my hands on one anytime soon after launch.

 

Are apple products ever marked down on Black Friday/cyber Monday? I want to get another Apple TV for my house soon and just curious if there's ever deals on them

 

No. Most companies will take a loss by offering a gift card with purchase.

 

Definitely ready to get this release rolling. Seems like every day a new supply chain report saying the launch is going to be restricted. Ha no telling how many of those I've seen over the past year.
