Having difficulty with getting my iTunes library to synch - just made the switch to Apple Music and for some reason only like 3% of my songs are synching across all devices. For instance all of my Deftones albums synch, but only like 2 songs from certain albums. Anyone have ideas what's up?

 

I've been typing with the vibrate switch on and off and have no sound at all

 

How long have you given it?

 

I've given it since Saturday morning. I don't think I've noticed anything new being added to my phone or work computer's iTunes since Saturday afternoon.

 

Ah. Yeah the first upload too me s while. I think there's status thing on iTunes. I had the sync be weird on the AppleTV but logging out of Apple Music / ICloud and then back in fixed it for me.

 

I'll try it out when I get off work. I'm trying to synch 3 computers, a phone and appleTV so there's a lot on the line here hahah.

 

Haha. Wow. I've got it working currently on my computer, phone, and the Apple TV. The Apple TV was a pain in the ass, it took like two times of logging in and out to get it to work right, but it now seems pretty damn smooth.

 

I got home and tried it again, and for some reason I'm still not getting everything to synch properly. What sucks most is that when I did the 3 month trial, it was all synched up perfectly.

 

What are your all's thoughts about allowing third party keyboards "full access" to your iPhone?

I've held Apple stock for 5 years and finally sold it today after hearing it was probably going to crash after hours, which it finally did.

Apple as a company will be fine, but I don't think they can make Wall Street happy anymore. Granted, they didn't do well today, but even when the beat on earnings they were still going down.

Not sure if anyone here invests in AAPL or has any thoughts/feedback. India could be huge for Apple but I have no idea how they can get any bigger.

 

If you were holding for 5 years you should have sold last week ... heh, never sell the day of an earnings report. Down 7% in after hours, only .69% on the day. It'll probably be back up around 1/2 that right before WWDC, and then dip again. I personally don't invest in APPL anymore because I think Wall Street doesn't get the company. I owned it a few years back around the stock split in 2014 though and it was on that crazy ride upward. That was pretty awesome. I got out out of individual stocks completely around that time — only one I still have shares in is Facebook, because it was like $20 at the time and I was like fuck it, it's gotta go up. It closed at 108 today. Now I just gotta figure out when I'm getting out of that.

 

Do you guys know a good app for Mac that is essentially a multi-item clipboard for copy/pasting stuff? I know programs such as that exist but I've never used one. Honestly I think that'd be a huge help writing stuff for the site I write for, where there's tons of content and media to move around.

I had no problem him asking. He just asked in like 3 or 4 threads the same question. I actually answered in one thread.

 

I've asked a question in a thread before any never gotten a response. I don't thinking he was 'spamming' threads, as much as he was looking for an answer and asking in all the places he thought he could get one.

 

So does this site, and I'm sure you've asked questions here that you could have answered yourself with a google search.

Also, It's weird that the same person who originally criticized him in this thread, went to the other thread afterwards and gave him the answer. Criticize him and call him a spammer in one thread, and go help him in the other thread. Weird.

 

I was in the process of googling for what I had heard about and came back. Saw I had updates and realized it was all from him posting. Not being a dick but it wasn't like he asked in thread a and no response so a day later he asked again in thread b. Guess I didn't realize I sounded like a dick that everyone is so up in arms about it.

 

I just didn't see the point in asking in multiple threads; that's all

 

I use Alfred for this. It's built in and I like only needing one thing for it. Command + v is paste, I bind shift + command + v to access the manager.

Copied is pretty good if you need it to work cross platform and share it with an iOS device as well. I used to use ClipMenu to do this before I moved to Alfred a few years back and it was totally fine. I think PopClip does this as well but never used it, just seen it mentioned a lot, same with JumpCut.
